Opened expressively, beautifully made, what I would expect from Chevillon villages VV. But instead of building over an hour or so, it began to fade. No wine faults. Just no legs. Drink in the next 2 years.

Røde bær dominerer på duft, litt skogbunn i bakgrunnen. Noe fatkrydder. Lett og elegant i munnen, men likevel med en deilig fyldig frukt balansert av nydelig syrestruktur. Veldig delikat nå. Helt nydelig match til pannestekt rypebryst med linser og soppsaus.

First of a case here. Quite young but feels like its opening. There is crunchy sapid red cherry, a little pomegranate, umeshu, sweet redcurrant and a hint of geranium lea. Certainly some firm tannic structure but there is a silkyness to this too. A very well made wine

Deilig nese med mørk og krydret frukt. Snev av utvikling. Saftig og frisk i munn. Lett rustikke tanniner i en pen finish. Herlig kommunevin som gir mye drikkeglede. Men har nok mer å gå på!

Though a bit reticent at first, there are beautiful, lifted floral aromatics here -- violets and roses layered with a distinct earthiness. The palate is bright, full of red fruits, fallen leaves and underbrush. Despite the lightfooted profile, there is notable concentration and structure here. Notes of iron on the finish remind you this is from Nuits-Saint-Georges. Showing much better than I would expect any 2015 to now.

Tasted blind - Young and creamy raspberry and red cherry. Slight grippy tannins with smoky flavours and tobacco on the palate. I didn’t even think it could be Burgundy initially due to its rougher tannins. Eventually I got to Nuits Saint Georges, 2014? Not as fruit intense as most 2015 I’ve tasted. (77/100)
Dark garnet, clear. Good condition. Nose. Acidity, red charries. Also some sweetness. Rasins/fig. Palate. Fine tannins. TypicalNSG. Will be imroving for years.

Nobody captures the essence of NSG better than Chevillon and this is shaping up to be another classic example and a fine example of the balance inherent in many 2015s. Semi translucent red with slight amber. A weightless energetic mix of; red fruit, mineral, earth, spice and emerging forest floor. Ripe but not overripe. So transparently from NSG. Love it especially for the $50 I paid.

HDH auction at Spiaggia; 4/12/2019-4/13/2019 (Chicago, IL): Honestly, not really sure what to make of this. It's not a wine that immediately gives off a lot of pleasure -- lots of dark earth and mushroom (already?). There's a real density here, and the juicy happiness of many other young Burgundies just isn't present. Perhaps this is too young, but I'm a little skeptical about what this will age into. I've been meaning to do an in-depth study of Chevillon, and this is just another data point that encourages me to get off my ass and do it.

Lots of pretty florals, spice, mineral and dark red berries on the nose, good fruit on the palate, with medium plus acidity and length, delicious now, should improve with a few more years

PopnPour, tasted over 3 hrs -med dark red-purple -blue fruit with a little spice and wet stone -med/med- acidity, med weight ripe focused and pure monotone grapey black fruit, med chalky tannins and noticeable but not quite intrusive oak on long finish -popped this out of curiosity and to compare to last night's 2010 version, as would be expected for the vintage it is darker fruited with less tension, it needs several more years to develop some complexity and integrate the oak though it is surprisingly open

Second Sunday Group: 2015 Burgundy (Augie's): Double blind. Aromas of cherry, red fruit and herb with a funky undertone. On the ripe side. Woody and tannic; ripe pinot fruit with herbal green elements.

Onklers Grand Cru Tasting Spring 2018; 4/20/2018-4/22/2018 (Tord): Blind! Dark red, clear. Nose with cherry and leather. Swedish General snuff (snus). The palate has cool fruit, is clear and precise with some spices. Again there is a certain structure. Guessed Tuscany, but should have gone to Burgundy.

Grei lengde. En fin vin, men mer rustikk enn sjarmerende.

Feels like it's at the end of its drinking window. Slightly muted faded purple, soft fruit, minimal acidity. Almost imperceptible tannins.

A gagné en complexité depuis la dernière fois. PNP. Le nez est envoûtant, la bouche complexe et longue. Un vin complet, de niveau 1er cru.
