Forest floor nose, dark color, very little amber, medium body, smooth in the mouth, some fine tannin, sweet finish. Delicious with air fried Masala Tandoori spiced Atlantic salmon. Obviously well stored bottle even though the cork was wet up to 2/3rds of length.

With K and Miranda at home at dinner (coq au vin). Red ruby color. Shockingly light fruit in the nose; faint and even a tad musty. Over-acid, bitter, with only a ghost of its former fruit flavors. Too bad, this used to be a decent wine. It's well past its peak now, and has one foot in the grave already, barely 5 years past the vintage. 5-7-8-3: 73/100.

With K and Peg at home at dinner (coq au vin). Nice ruby color. Soft, delicate rose petal/cherry fruit aromas. On the palate, soft and supple, with light cherry fruit undertone. Not as good as I remember--appears to have lost some of its intensity, and not as concentrated as before. Pleasant, but no standout. 5-9-13-6: 83/100.

At home with K at dinner (coq au vin). Lightish color. Garnet. Elegant. Very fruity, deep, complex nose. Crushed rose. Beautiful. Very big, full, smooth, yet firmly tannic wine. A very silky, elegant wine. Great finish. 4-13-17-7: 91/100.
