Showing very well. Light color. Good core of sour cherry fruit, some complex herby/spicey aromas around the edges. Not a simple quaffer but not ponderous either. Reminded me of a good Savigny 1er Cru. A bargain at $30.

Absolute wow wine... Solid core of so ripe and bright black cherry, slate shavings, bay, and on and on. Really continued to open over an hour. Aeration highly recommended and watch out for very fine sediment.

Rated on current form. Much better and `together' on the second day. So I am quite convinced that this wine will (much) benefit from further cellaring. If you want / need to have a crack it now already, better heed the advice from some of the previous gentlemen and make good use of a decanter.

Stunning wine that feels as though from Burgandy in every which way. Precise, clean, bright linear dark red fruit. Taut acids with just enough grip. Gave an hour or so in the decanter.

2017 Willi Schaefer Tasting (Classic Wine Storage, Dallas, TX): Decanted for ~2h. Lovely aromas of ripe red cherries, bitter herbs, bark, and some hints of earth. Palate took another turn with tart red cherries, abundant dark forest floor earth, some ash, bark and bitter herbs. Medium+ body with excellent acids and nice concentration. Complex with more bass flavors that contrasts nicely with the tart cherries. ~4 hrs later - cherries are riper now and balances out the earthy bass notes even better with more harmony. Open the next bottle prob. in 2025.

light red color with some earth shades, lovely buttery Pinot nose with some pepper, on the palate a genteel yet persistent sweet cherry, blueberry notes, pepper and dark thorns, cuddly earth notes, very attractive finish with good length, my experience with these wines is minimal so there is no way for me to guess the future with any accuracy but this will certainly hold for quite a while and perhaps develop some further nuance. The note is not that long but I really liked this. It reminds me a great deal of Ramonet's red Chassagnes with its charm and strong potential as a harmonious accompaniment with food. The sort of wine I would love to have around for a hearty meal on a cool evening.

A little tired and the fruit is dried out. Good savory complexity but it’s just barely hanging on
