In contrast to the prior bottle, this was in its prime. Fruity, earthy, spices, and overall an excellent Zin that was very food friendly. Basically it's a proper middle-aged Wellington.

This bottle wasn't as good as most any other Wellington bottle I've had. Perhaps it was flawed, but not so much as to be obviously corked or acetic or anything like that. Shrug.

Wow, brought this out in case it was getting past it's time; not the case at all. This was great over 2 nights. Nice crunchy, brambly zin. Great body, aroma and on the palate. I will safe guard the 2013's. Wish I had held.

Was checking my list of bottles in the cellar and it said I had 3 of these. So I opened one tonight but then discovered it's actually my last one. For the horror! It's delicious, a pleasure to drink, great fruit, alcohol is well integrated, not overly oaked.
I'm really going to miss Wellington.

Good value, a solid fastball hitting the corner of the plate. Fruit forward brambleberries, full bodied, rich, but not hot or raisiny. Tannins are light--or at least very well ripened and integrated. Not the most complex of wines, just a nice even-keeled crowd pleaser with nice delicious factor.

This wine is tasting quite good right now. Typical zin color and nose ... not as much spice as some zins but an easy drinker without food. Nice balance of fruit, tannins and acidity.

Very Zin-berry, as I've heard it called. Nice balance, rich but acidic. Not as much spice as I'd expect, and drinking surprisingly well for a Wellington Zin this young.
Opened up nicely over the couple hours it lasted. Nice, easy drinking Zin. Will probably improve a bit with 6 months+

This looked slightly bricked on opening, and initially was kind of hot, but after that blew off the wine was in great shape.

Still a solid bottle despite the drink by date.
Adding 5 years to 2025 and that is likely conservative.

This has certainly evolved since the last bottle. Nice middle aged Zin now. Medium body, nice fruit, lots of earth.

Fresh dark berry, cutting acid to balance and clean the palate. Lasting finish

Bramble and woodsy herbs. A touch on the pruney side, but not overly so. Slight oxidation on day 2.

Possibly the best vintage for this. Thin syrup with sweet fruit. Pretty enjoyable and held up over a few days.

Fruit and acid, better with food . Hard to beat a Wellington for value.
