La Paulée de San Francisco - Grand Tasting (The Fairmont - San Francisco CA): Tasting, brief note. Black and red cherry with very good depth and weight. Starts with a certain darkness that seems very Gevrey, but the 100% while cluster character really transforms this into a charming wine that showed in an elegant manner. Still a bit tannic, but clearly remarkable 93-94 point potential.

La Paulée de SF Grand Tasting (Fairmont Hotel, SF CA): A concentrated and rich wine with lots of power and stuffing. Didn't scream Gevrey at this stage. 93+, especially if the terroir shines through the fruit with age.

Tasted after V-R 1er Cru Les Chaumes. Vibrant and complex on the nose - generous, pure fruit, spices, flowers, earthy and mineral notes. On the palate again lots of depth and intensity. Very long and persistent. Super fruit and acidity, powerful tannins. 94-95+

Some Wines from the 2018 La Paulée Grand Tasting of 2015 Burgundy (The Fairmont, San Francisco): Ruby. Can't argue with the volume of the delicious red and black fruit or the sappy feel, but this comes at the cost of Gevrey terroir since there is little soil and not much complexity at this point.
