Best after, warming up and air, Big red fruit, yeast on the nose. Wow champers. Great red fruit, nice sweetness, good acid, just superb for those that like heavier champagne.

Pichon Baron and more (Dino's Grotto, DC): A fun starter to the evening. Light salmon color, strawberries, bit of sweetness, nice balance, medium body, medium finish.

To start things off- and this is fair game for a high end champagne TN since presentation matters- I have to say the packaging is really splendid. A rose-gold toned metal box made with letter cut-outs to spell out the Bollinger name. For gift-giving, this is as good as it gets.
And I have to say the wine is just as impressive. I do not like the 2006 vintage in champagne. I generally find it heavy and too sweet. No such issues here. An attractive moderate salmon color, on the nose there is some of the sweetness and heft of the 2006 vintage and yet there is a creamy richness to counter it well, on the palate strawberries, sweet citrus, pears, and sugar-coated mineral tones, it has the forwardness and generosity of the vintage without being overly hefty as even some of the best wines are in that year, good length, very much ready to drink now but I think it could develop a bit with further age. **(*), now to 2025.

Very good, but hard to justify the significant increase in price over the regular NV rose. Perhaps the packaging? Complex flavors of apple pie, apple sauce, lemon, strawberry, brioche and minerality. Slightly tart? Excellent weight.

A creamy, rich and complete wine, with red fruits and a touch of peach. It is full and classy with good freshness and persistence.

Gorgeous wine. Bright strawberry fruit with enough acidity and brioche to keep things in balance.

This is a delicious Vintage Rosé Champagne from a great vintage.
Showing lots of bread and yeast notes, citrus, over ripen apples, spices, minerals, white pepper, sea salt, light earth and herbs.
Medium bodied with medium plus acidity, and nicely integrated small bubbles. Just the way I prefer it.
This 15 year old is very tasty now. Nicely balanced with lots of complexity.
Good by itself or with food. I didn't need anything but a nice glass with it.
12% alcohol by volume.
93 points.

Qatar First. Cool bottle and packaging but the content is not on the same level.

Ljust orangerosa i färgen.
Lite barkig i doften.
Smaken smultron, citron, röd chili, medelstora, bra drickfönster med krusbär i eftersmaken. Frisk.
