Prior note is spot on. Would add this massively outperformed expectations with more wow factor than a 93 mouton and an 07 P. Conterno Ginestra riserva drank alongside

From magnum purchased in 1/2012 (Sherlocks, Atlanta).
At dinner, so no formal notes - dark red color - great nose - Tar, rose petals, sour cherry, tart cherry & tobacco. Similar palate. Full body, medium+ acids, medium tannins (integrated into wine now) and very long finish - fruit is slightly oxidized but this wine tasted younger than it's age would suggest (1.5L probably helped). Tart cherry, sour cherry, mushrooms and tobacco flavor profile. Enjoyed by all tasters. 93+/-
Could go a few more years at least out of a Magnum.

Last tasted and enjoyed December 2015. No need to decant. Very approachable immediately after opening. Pleasant texture, nose and finish. Better than expected but its getting a bit thin - my last bottle should be drunk soon

Decanted at 5 pm for drinking at a tasting dinner starting at 7pm. Mediium to dark slightly translucent ruby/garnet with moderate bricking. Appears mature. Fairly typical nose of rose petals, chocolate, vanilla and cherry. Palate is velvety smooth with fully integrated tannins and nice weight. Nice long aftertaste. Great with the braised short ribs.

Crimson core with orange rim and visible sediment; candy cane was distinguishable on the nose, licorice, good fruit and density in the midpalate, but the finish was seriously drying, big tannin like Clerico; seemingly modern but traditionally dry and unmistakably Barolo, a manly man's Barolo.

- Garnet color and aromas of strawberry. It's balanced. Smooth texture with a medium finish - Excellent Barolo. Like most aged wines it needed some time in decanter to really show it's stuffing. A real pleasing finish and showed great elegance.

Italian Night at Wally's (Barrington, IL): Ruby red in color with a light nose of smoky dark fruits. Light fruit on the palate with acids poking out. Very tight, unyielding and tannic. Time should bring this together. (4+12+16+7=89)
