Red cherry lips! Needs time to open then lots going on. Earthy smell typical good Brunello. I think this will get better over next 3-4 years so if I was you, wait a little then get it at its peak.

Took a minute to open up. After 30 minute decant, nose of earth and forest floor, mixed with hints of red fruit. After two hours, more cherry. Sour cherry and red fruit flavors, medium tannins. Good wine.

Much richer on the nose than it's younger brother. Older vines, rich and black cherry and stewed plum nose. Fresh lillac. Old cedar and leather. Delivers on palate from front to back, balanced, delicious, firm tannins but easy for brunello. Right on!

(straight out of the bottle) The nose is intense and complex with dried black cherry and fig, coffee, dark chocolate and licqurice. On the palate, concentrated dark fruit with character similar to the nose, powerful tannins and well preserved acidity. A beautiful work of art. Drink now-2038

The first vintage taken on half way through? Yes, because they didn't taste us on it. Dark chocolate and savory herbs on the palate, lots of muscle and grip but not over bearing. Just opened, needs some time of course. We shall see how it opens up but I would lay it down for a couple more years. Has a lingering grip to it.

Sour cherry and savoriness (in a good way) more open for business on the nose than maybe some of the previous vintages, firm on the palate yet integrated, long right now but rides on its tannin, needs time (of course). Not a huge amount fruit and a new style for this producer - leaner more elegant, so time will tell. I would lay down for just one more year and then start checking in because of the wine making shift.
Nice and savory and tart and tangy.

This 11 year old Brunello is drinking very nicely now.
Medium bodied with medium plus acidity.
Dry on the palate with good complexity.
Showing red fruits with earth, wood, spices, peppercorn, dark chocolates, tobacco leaf and herbs.
Tangy finish with fine grained tannins and tangy cranberries.
The 2012 was a great vintage, and it needs 3 hours to open up properly, so be patient. Showing a nice mouthfeel, light, yet powerful.
Will continue to drink nicely in the next few years.
Robert Parker 92 points. Wine Enthusiasts 91 points.
A good food wine that I paired with meats and cheeses.
14.5% alcohol by volume.

Sweet herbs and fruit on the nose, lean on the palate but all right there. Just needs time to decompress. Tasty.
