Pale greenish yellow. Definite Sauvignon peppery citrus here. Lighter weight for Mellot without any trace of wood. Brisk grapefruit, very mineral. Remarkably primary and not very different compared to my note in 2018. Excellent age worthy Sancerre.

Extremely pale in color but not flavor. Mineral driven; flinty; after it warms up to room temp I detect some jalapeño pepper on the finish (in a good, interesting way not overpowering).

Almost perfect seafood wine. Paired beautifully with scallops and caviar, shrimp, mussels. A litrle briny, citrusy, mineral. Long finish. Sad I only have one left.

very good. nice medium weight with plenty of tart acid. has taken on a tinge of honey, flavors still dominated by lemongrass. medium length finish. ready to go.

Yellow gold color, medium legs. It smells like apple. It tastes like apple and perhaps lemon, very dry. Good finish, worked well with a creamy cheese, interestingly.

Pale yellow green. Pungent varietal aromas. Typical Sancerre weight (which, to be clear, means light compared to most Mellot wines). Tart grapefruit, high acidity. This needs several years to unclench and flesh out. It would work best now with unadorned raw shellfish.

Second time having this wine and it may have been a bit off. Notes of pear and a touch of lemon on the nose. A sour quality in the mouth, that is somewhat off putting. All the other elements were pleasant and I've enjoyed numerous other Mellot offerings.

translucent straw color. looks light but smells fat. lemon curd. light body, yet rich, creamy flavors dominated by lemongrass. there is also gray stone, some lemon zest, and a sharpness most closely rivaled by kiwi. finishes clean. great now, should evolve positively for 4-5 years.

Medium yellow. Pungently varietal and brisk. Light for Mellot and free of oak influence.

One of my favorite white wines. Paired with charcuterie and shrimp beautifully. Summer in a bottle!

PnP, consumed over two nights. A bit fuller-bodied than a typical Sancerre, but it works. Mid body, mid+ acid. 13%
