This needed a lot of air to show at its best, after an hour or so decanted it was still quite mute so we put in back in the bottle and it was great the next day, plenty of brambly fruit and some Middle Eastern spice, dried rose petals and more, patience still required !

Yes! Reduced at first but then goes into regular All-Star Envínate mode - cherries, raspberries, licorice, stone, black olives and stone warm herbs. All in a silky and fresh package. No sign of slope, just peak all the way. Love this stuff.

Raspberries, blackberries, blueberries, stony minerality, a note of green undergrowth and an initial hint of playful spritz, no reductive aromas at all though. No VA either. A little chewy and a hint of leather. Definitely bigger and more structured than Seoane, compromising a bit on quaffability I suppose but no problem for me - very tasty. Approachable at pop and pour aswell.

So juicy and irresistable, the warm vintage works well for this normally restrained bottling. Still floral, lively, and mineral, despite some darker mysterious currents. -2023

A thoroughly delicious wine that for me combines the structure of a Morgon with the taste profile of a Northern Rhone although not quite. Violet, raspberry, slaty licorice, cherry pit tannins, pepper. To me the 2015 was a lot more floral and lifted and in a better spot at the same age than the 2014. Envinate continue to deliver wines that I either like or love - this one I really loved!
Darker and more brooding than I recall the 2015 Parcela Seoane. Celery seed, dark red berry fruit aromas. Exotic, fine pepper aromas. No black pepper. Medium, fine-grained, coating tannin. Feels exceptionally tight on the palate.

Silky and smooth with very gentle tannins. Notes of meat and little bit of funkiness on top of otherwise very clean and piredark raspberry/cherry fruit. As with a lot of other wines from Ribeira Sacra, the minerality is very pronounced. Another winner from Envinate, but not on the level of the 2014's at the moment.

Vigorous decant 90min works to counter initial reduction and let the lively, dark-fruited genie out of the bottle.
