  • 13.5% alcohol. Diam5 closure. Pristine hay coloured luminous tinge.
The nose is fresh with white flowers and lanolin; not very assertive but elegant and pure with no oaky interference. Similarly balanced in the mouth with some verbena added to the mix; nothing flabby here and no buttery notes. Good length.
A fine match for pan fried brill fillets.
A super Rully of the lean and elegant type (but not in any way undernourished). In excellent condition at age 8, which cannot be taken for granted with any dry white wine.
A repeat purchase in principle, but prices are reaching the unreasonable zone.

  • 13.5% alcohol. Diam5 closure, pretty long. Medium gold colour.
Rich floral nose with honeysuckle and lime blossom. In the mouth, the initial impression is that the oak is overdone, but this settles down through the meal, leaving a rich but balanced impression. Very good acidity.
This producer's wine have been good value over the years, but their prices have recently crossed a no return threshold for me; too bad, but hardly a concern.

  • 13.5% alcohol. Diam5 closure, pretty long. Pale gold colour.
The nose has good intensity with yellow flowers, lanolin and just a hint of sweat (in a pleasant way). Pretty compelling in the mouth with a nod to opulence kept in check by a bracing quality and vg grip; superb balance as a result.
In excellent condition and likely to remain so for another five years.

  • 13.5% alcohol. Diam5 closure. Medium gold luminous colour.
The nose is rich but without any buttery notes; all yellow flowers including gorse and some suggestion of quince. In the mouth, the wine shows very pure with yellow plum flavours and excellent acidity; there is a rasping sensation which I find appealing (as well as testifying to the superb condition of the bottle). Very good length. These Côte Chalonnaise Chardonnays have a style of their own, less demonstrative than those of Côte de Beaune but every bit as elegant.
A fine partner for live prawns and then the next day for monkfish.
Unfortunately, prices have recently crossed a threshold which puts them just beyond the pale for me. Ah well, there is always a new wine that begs to be discovered.

  • 13.5% alcohol. Diam5 closure, shortish. Pale to medium golden colour.
Very enticing floral nose with barely a hint of brioche but no oak. Similarly well balanced in the mouth with good intensity but nothing overbearing. Pure and elegant.
    A repeat purchase.

  • 13.5% alcohol. Diam5 closure. Decanted an hour ahead. Medium gold bright colour.
The nose is rich, with lanolin and yellow fruit; some pleasant sweat-like aromas after time in the glass. Very good intensity. The mouth is deep and long with plenty of fat but reasonable acidity in the finish to balance toffee notes.
Dangerously close to being over the top, but just on the right side for me, provided that it is paired with the right food; jumbo prawns were just the ticket, otherwise lobster would be fine. A bottle that is very impressive at first but that I would tire of pretty quickly.
I feel that the vintage is talking louder than the terroir here, and while this is interesting as a once off, I would not like it to be the new norm.

  • Sweetness of the vintage is nicely countered by minerals, refreshing acidity and a hint of flint.

  • Nase nach Vanille, leichte Reduktion und Streichholz, dezent rauchig. Selbiges am Gaumen. Deutliche Extraktsüße, Honig, weiße Melone. Leider kaum Säure

  • Very, very solid producer and virtually no mistake ever encountered. These are amongst the best vale white Burgundy wines for me.
Fresh nose, with honey, lime and grapefruit. In the mounth butter, green almonds, grapefruit, good balance. Great stuff.
