Medium ruby, spiced black cherry, cassis, black plum and black raspberry on the first nose, followed by forest floor, and red cherry, dark berry fruit on the attack with layered powdery cherry fruit, herbal tea, mild tannins, and medium acidity, finishes a little stewed with sanguine notes, earth, touches of spice and lingering dark fruit flavors

Evocative wet earth and stone nose that jumps from the glass. Closed mineral texture and dark ripe cherry with superb mineral core. Almost rustic tannins, but it suits the overall feel. Tremendous old school juice; 1er standard for the appellation.

Decanted and had it in Zalto Burgundy. The nose is showing ripe cherries and a touch of tannins on the palate it showed the same...overall it didn't evolve into something more......its a nice wine but nothing more...and i don't see how it should evolve into more.

A nice quaffable Savigny from a rich vintage but not a real Savigny as yet. A striking comparison at a restaurant to the 2010 Bize 1ere I had in 2013 at another restaurant. The 2010 showed very nicely then with youthful, distinguishable fruit, but then closed up a year later. The 2015 has no discernably distinguishable fruit yet; it drank like a well made young Bouland Morgon with pleasant characteristics, a cherry and raspberry-led nose and some strawberry on the palate as well. But this wine needs time to unfold. A shame, really, to drink now.

Quite dark red. Ripe black cherries. Quite forward and yet rather tense and stemmy. Lacking a bit of the usual Bize earthiness but has balance. Would think this needs 2-3 years to settle a bit but then drink young.

Brooding nose, dark cherries and spices Plenty of ripe fruit, tannins a little chewy I think they'll always be a bit rustic. Still this has potential and cheap for red Burgundy at roughly £22 retail

Earthy, leather, five spice, fresh tobacco, kirsch
Ripe Raspberry and pencil lead on the palette. Finish is rustic and sappy and memorable.

As before; superb. Additionally, the tannin is sturdy and rather engaging - cherry fuzz minerality. Wonderfully fresh. This could go on for years

Nose: Red berries, red plum, earth, licorice.
Palate: Quite high tannin - rustic style. It lacks a little definition at the moment.

Packed to the gills with fruit and structure. Enjoyable now but built to age. Feels like a premier cru.

Very nice Bourg at the price point, like many other Beaune reds, it drinks easily young, would love to try one which is 3 - 5 yrs older

had a glass with chicken liver pate (though it was more parfait for me). Rich, cherry, fresh, still quite young, very nice.
