Copper, almost bronze Nose: Tropical fruit, caramel apple, doughy (someone said Cinnabon), brandy, smoky but not flinty Caramel, green apple, lime not lemon, white pepper, flabby texture but still delicious Les Narvaux is a lieux-dits (A step below premier cru) vineyard in Meursault. Girardin always does a great job here, this 2002 has stood up very well and that nose gave us a lot of enjoyment tonight. Drink 'em if you got 'em!

Outstanding with trout, gnocchi in butter in sage sauce and delicata squash. Chilled for 25 minutes -- improved substantially as it warmed up. Cellar tracker should change its drinking window. This wine is plainly not beyond its prime.

Yellow straw in color. No premox and much better than expected. Steely minerality on the nose. Minerals, butter and a hint of lemon on a smooth and balanced palate. Very enjoyable.

Slightly funky nose, good body and acid. Yeasty notes, earth, hint of green apple. Worked well with scallops, but not as intense or mouthfilling as I had hoped for.

Wet stone, cinnamon toast, and citrusy butter on the nose. Some fine floral pear and cookie-dough ice cream flavor up front with a zingy finish. Exquisite acidity. Drink now. It isn't going to improve with more bottle age...or maybe it will.

Yes I agree with Rupert on this wine - medium yellow colour, good legs, attractive low key nose, gorgeous on the palate: dry on the palate with a refreshing character and oodles of lovely fruit nicely in balance with the zingy acidity, leading to a long attractive finish. A very "moreish" well made wine.

Ripe pear nose ,deep gold color, hazelnut flavor and smooth viscous mouthfeel-mature white burgundy but still could go another year

This one's now well and truly lost its mojo. Some sweet fruit, but dull, dull

These are getting softer - still nice, but I miss the minerals and bite of the earlier bottles

Mouthwateringly fresh and zingy chardonnay fruit, a touch more citrus than I remember past bottles, but with a rich tangy finish.

Sherbert and pine. Lots of zing. Excellent young mid-weight white burgundy.
