Kept under condition 2 since september 2017 (see my profile). Seduced by other TN-writers who wrote that this wine is at its top. Drunk nine day's ago, so my memory of this tasting has been diminished. Not decanted. More developped since my last bottle, but about the fourth, maybe fith day better than at the first. I guess that this wine will benefit from one and a half, two more years of keeping. No rating.

2015 vintage: Slight tertiary aromas coming through, very low tannins, very smooth right now with no pronounced flavors. Drink until 2024, no more aging potential.

Second bottle at least as good as the first. Ruby red like blood draw and plenty of fruit. Love the nice tannic finish — feels unfair at <$15; if only we could fuel cars with it.

Agree with other tasters that found the nose unapproachable on pnp. Closed and funky on open. Luckily, some funk blew off with some air. More animal than musty. Quite fruity and complex on nosing after about an hour showing red, black and blue. Generous barrel seasoning and nice dusty tobacco. Some greenery and mint to boot.
No sediment in bottle. Youthful appearance and fast flowing legs. broad clear rim and decent cherry red saturation.
The palate is a bit less disappointing than the nose. Merlot dominated with light to medium mouthfeel. Tannins are spot on for 2015.
The bright and lingering finish is the best part for me at this point. Mineral and minty.
Overall on day 1 is an 84.
Time to put this genie back in the bottle and see how it goes on day 2. Today my wishes were not granted.
Day 2. Nose is still complex and subdued, but more tar and red fruits are present. Much more pleasant than day 1.
Palate and finish are about the same as before.
Maybe 85 today. Will not rub this lamp again...

No formal notes. Ripe fruit. Still quite a lot of fine tannins. A full, round and rich wine. For me this wine is not alreay mature. To keep for two or three more years. Interesting potential. 87+

Still fragrant in the nose, with more noticeable roses and violets; still fruity, juicy, and less tannic on the palate, with more noticeable dark chocolate, tobacco leaves, and wood spices; very long finish; overall, 91-92 points at this stage; more mature and enjoyable than a year ago, but perhaps near its peak soon already.

Great QPR for 12.99 @ Costco. The oak is a little flashy and I would call the style modern, but the wine is clean, the fruit is pure, and this is correct and even impressive for Cru Bourgeois.

From 75cl, cork not seen. Respectable high-yield Médoc Cru Bourgeois: Darker colour than expected; closed aromatically; Merlot-led palate with plummy, slightly stewed fruit; pleasant astringency on the finish, which leaves a nice furry tannic dryness. Drink now. 85-86P

Strong tar, baked earth, black and red fruit — medium acid, medium+ tannins. Medium/medium+ body. Quiet enjoyable, and a nice value, though the tar note will turn some off.

Initially thought this was corked. After an hour or so, the off notes blew away, and it revealed a well-made entry level Bdx, if not a tad simple. Black cherry, black currant, and tar commingle, with juiciness to spare. Surprisingly well-structured. Lively tannins bounce along on the medium finish. More savory than fruity, and a solid value (I also picked this up for 13 bucks at Costco).

Fragrant in the nose, apples, cherries, strawberries, lavenders, mints, and roses; juicy yet still tannic and tight on the palate, berries, tannins, and wood spices; medium-long finish; overall, 89-90 points at this young stage but with good aging potential to 91-92 in the future; good QPR, would stock up more bottles.

Notable purity, the winemaker stayed out of nature's way. Even the oak treatment shows deft touch. At 63 percent of the assemblage, Merlot features prominently, red fruited, lush, caressing. Fine balance, satisfying finish. For $12.99 at Costco, worth stocking up on.
Medium ruby color. Aromas of slate, cherry, raspberry, slate, oak and hints of florality. Juicy cherry flavors on entry, medium body. Thinness and bitter tannins in the finish create angularity. Not my favorite.

Every few months I try another sub-$20 Bordeaux, and am disappointed. This is an exception. Unsurprisingly the fruit is not as big as a similarly priced CA cab, but it is a well balanced wine, good QPR. Better the 3rd day open, so it will keep 5+ years.

Tasting at Chateau Labadie, Medoc: Tasting at the chateau, directly after the 2014. One month and a half in bottle. Dark color. Quite closed, but more concentrated, more tannins, more acidity and under the tannins more clear fruit than the 2014. This wine needs at least three, more probably five years to open up. 87-88+.
