Must be a ton of bottle variation, because this is a beautiful crozes-hermitage. Meaty, fatty, olivey, gamy syrah fruit with no heat, dusted with black pepper. In a great spot for the next few years.

Reminiscent of some northern Rhone wines, bacon fat, black olive, dried herbs, meaty. Full bodied, much more open than previous bottles. Seems to be hitting a good spot for drinking, though will hold for years. Full body, med + tannin, med acid. Great value

Soft blueberry/blackberry fruit, muddy earth, just a hint of something greener and funkier. M bodied, M acid, hanging in there but I don’t see any more upside. ~6.5/10

Seems to be a lot of bottle variation with these, but my bottle is just fine.
A little red fruit remains, but it's mostly gone at this point. More prominent are the notes of black olive, sweet tobacco, and black tea. Decent tannic structure and almost no acidity to speak of.
Obviously, this is a better wine a few years ago. My bottle, however, happened to be alive and still satisfying. Drink now.

Was worried to open this after the reviews here, but I was wow'ed. It was pretty big...didn't leave it open more than 10 minutes. Needed another 5 minutes, but lots of blackberry jam and wet tobacco were obvious to me. Then long moment on the after taste, that black olive was clear as crystal. Short backend, but tannins +. At $19...I'm a yes. Might not wait long to open my second bottle thought!

Visited this super small winery in Napa set into Diamond Mointain and brought home this GSM blend...or should I say SGM Blend. Only 565 cases made. The Syrah is prominent but the Grenache adds balance. Medium bodied and somewhat bright upfront , it was not long on the tongue , not over powering. Felt like a versatile wine safe with many foods. Really a nice break from the full bodied Napa cabs I often drink.

Pretty neutral here...past its prime. Had moments of warmth but the fruit was not the show here. Drink 'em if you got 'em.
