Medium ruby in the glass with aromas and flavours of summer cherries and rose petals with a hint of milk chocolate. Light tannins. Good easy sipper paired with light meals if you don’t mind the hint of sweetness.

Agree with BanMan, not a traditional Merlot. Tastes more like a GSM. Medium to deep ruby in the glass, with aromas of plums, cherries a hint of cedar/leather. Flavour is pleasant summer cherries, plums and red berry fruits with a hint of dried raisins. Mild to medium body, mild tannins. Paired well with pesto chicken pizza.

Freak QPR wine. No varietal character whatsoever - actually drinks more like a New World Pinot Noir or Syrah than a Merlot - but who cares? This is so round, harmonious and absolutely delicious. Shows very good focus and intensity, finishing long and smooth, while a touch of oak lends ample complexity. Maybe leans just slightly to the sweet side, but for $7.99 a bottle, I can live with that. This has been our house red to pair with pork and chicken for quite some time, and it never disappoints. Hope I can still find more of it. 50+5+11+16+7=89

Update : Really excellent Washington State Wine. Round, beetween soft and spicy with a short to medium finish. But what a pleasure to drink !! Not comparable with the old style merlot wines from St. Emilion, of course. Just easier to drink, even by its own. Strongly recommended. Not for the long run though. Till approximativ. 2020 max.

This merlot has a lot more complexity than the price denotes! Medium bodied, fruit forward merlot and I even detected notes of cinnamon in the nose. I will be buying this again!

Nose was pleasant however flavors were off with a slight hint of chemical finish. Definitely not corked but appears to be be an off bottle. Will not rate at this time as this bottle is nothing like previous vintages I have tried.

Quite good. Just a step below the 14 Hands Merlot. Considering the lower price, this one is probably its equal. A nice moderate nose of dark berries and brambly scents. A medium to full body without any noticeable sweetness. A bit of tannin on the back half gives just a bit of structure to dark cherry, chocolate, and vanilla flavors. www.vincrush.com

Un autre délicieux Merlot de Washington. Beau tanin soyeux
