Stylistically, this Cabernet follows the popular pathway. Plush and ripe cassis, vanilla oak and toasty coconut with tobacco and clove on the nose and the palate. Ready to drink the moment you pull the cork. A bit of breathing open up the lush mid-palate more with good extension in the finish. Goes well with grilled meats.

High rating for inexpensive bottle that I feel will age very well. Deep, dark red, full bodied wine that I didn’t let sit open for long. Tastes like many $80-$100 bottles of Napa cabs. Earthy and tobacco. Highly drinkable with or without food.

Great QPR. Needs a decant but blossoms into a well balanced cab at a modest price. Nose of strawberry. Palate of Cedar cherry and hints of chocolate. Nice wine.

Tasted at The Wine Society's USA tasting, London, UK. Dark ruby colour. On the nose there's deep blackcurrant, spice, cassis, coffee. The palate is lovely, rich, full, dark berry fruits, plenty of tannins. I feel this wine has many years of life remaining. Excellent.

Hard to believe this is only the second time I’ve ever had this wine. It’s so widely available, I suppose, it’s easy to overlook. This is well built and somewhat Old World. Dry, youthful, and dense, with a soft, floral aspect that frames red fruit, cherries, cassis, and new oak atop plump textures and flavors. Solid effort and the tannic structure suggests aging potential.

Popped and poured; a dark purple core with no signs of age. Aromas of cooked and stewed black fruits, asphalt, mocha, and spice. Medium to full bodied, muddled on the mid-palate, with little in the way of precision. elegance or depth. The 2013 was much better.

Tasted at The Wine Society tasting of USA wines, held in London, UK. Deep Burgundian colour. Gentle nose, herbal cassis and coffee. Fresh palate, chewy, cherry fruit. Good, but perhaps a little pricey at £25.

Classic Napa Cab…but it’s from Sonoma! Better than much more expensive bottles from Napa.

Rather nondescript cab.

The wine looks crimson colored. The legs are medium. There is no sediment in the bottle. It smells like coffee.

Average tannins, good fruit and balance. There are better alternatives for this price point.
