A restaurant’s off list purchase with a meal. Decanted by the somm for over an hour and it was ready to go. Ripe strawberries on the nose with flowers and a bit of leather. The mid palate has this interesting unripe strawberry note that has a bit of sour and aromatic bitter, and something that is a bit forest floor, although less mineral. Very tasty with a duck course.

Medium red. Smooth tanins and subtel. Black fruit berries. Hibiscus floral note. Linear and semi long finish. Been open for 2 hours. Definitely opens up a lot. Can smell earthy notes, terrior. Definitely very close to a good burgandy from Chambolle-Musigny. Acidity mid to high. More on back of palate. Great wine!

Decanted for about 90 minutes before trying, following an Aubert Chardonnay. Wonderfully complex, lots of red and black cherries, mild vanilla and citrus zest on the long finish. Lovely wine. I always enjoy the Savoy releases.

Ripe red cherries, just lovely after 45 minutes of decanting. Complex aroma with dust and earth in between the fruits. Already very refined and full-bodied for a Pinot Noir, gains some body as it opens up. Terrific.

I always enjoy the Savoy release and this one is terrific even at this young age. Sweet mouthfeel, immediately accessible, classic Savoy notes of cherry cola, light spice and earth, loads of juicy red fruits, and lip-smacking acidity. This wine really bursts out of the glass and sits on the juiciest end of the Pinot spectrum, if that makes sense....

Light purplish red color. Bright fruity nose. Red fruits, light acid, some alcohol on the palate. Overall very nice, and I imagine at its peak.

Hazy purple, notes of plummy flowers, and earth. Spicy cherry, citrus and minerals in the mouth. Delicate but firm, so Pinot and so delicious!

Opens a bit thin and reduced, and doesn’t fully recover. What to make of this one?

I enjoy the aromas and flavors, but it's a little slight for me on the palate, especially for something running at 13.4%.
