Opened 60 minutes before pouring to accompany venison. Medium cherry colour. The nose shows maturity, plums, earthiness. The palate shows tertiary flavours including cranberries, toffee. Soft, well balanced, quite long. I think this is now at full maturity and unlikely to improve.

Drunk with friends to accompany chicken pie. My focus was more on chatting with friends, but we all agreed this is just great now. Soft and smooth, great Burgundy at a sensible price. Fresh plummy fruit. Moreish.

My last bottle. I'll be more patient next time because this was just great - nice open fruit, fine tannin and moderate acidity all in balance. Not your average Bourgogne Rouge.

I initially thought that I was grabbing a bottle of the Haut Cotes de Nuits and was surprised how light this was, with the fruit, to my taste, rather piercing in the cranberry/pomegranate range. Surprising for a 2015. Okay, but I'd definitely pay the little extra for the fuller HCdN.

I think this is just coming into It's drinking window. The nose is initially quite muted with some darker fruit, which follows through on the palate, with some oak in evidence.
In time the oak seemed to dissolve away and lovely, slightly earthy, Pinot fruit was to the fore, supported by light(ish) tannins and fresh acidity.
Very nice, and should improve over the next year or two.

Dark colour. Vinous round dark berry nose of old vines. Ripeness and intensity. The hand of the winemaker delightfully hidden letting the quality of the fruit shine. Terrific value.

This bottle was better, darker to look with a stronger nose but still not much fruit. Very smooth and a very drinkable and moorish wine.

Not much to note on the nose and very light in colour. Fruit taste quite limited. Quite well balanced but does not do it for me.

This is really singing now. Nicely integrated and still showing lovely fruit. Not big, but just what you want at this level.

Tannins still quite prominent but notes of strawberry and undergrowth coming through nicely. Medium length.
