Tasted after 30 minutes of air. Lively acidity with good mid palate lift. Grapefruit. Quince. Pears. Medium gold color. Excellent balance. Good sweetness but medium plus acidity. Nice tension here between fruit and acid. The tension reminds me of the taut cable Philippe Petit used to walk between the towers of the late great World Trade Center. This wine has that greatness.

Very nice wine. Highly perfumed nose of peaches. Palate shows well integrated fruit with acidity. Notes of stone fruit and vanilla. Oak was definitely showing but not over done.

This was fantastic! My other bottle must have just been off.
Per the winemaker's suggestion, I poured 8 oz into a measuring cup and then immediately repoured it back into the bottle and recorked. It stayed in the fridge for 5 hours until dinner time.
I tasted this in both Grassl Liberte and Grassl Cru, between 55 and 60 degrees.
It showed best in the Grassl Liberte', and definitely showed best at 55 degrees. It was fresh and light on its feet at that temperature. Although it gained a bit more weight as it warmed in the glass, it did not get too flabby.
For my palate, this was medium- body, medium fruit, and medium acidity. Very well balanced. It was as if Oregon and California had a kid.
The wine was great by itself, and it also paired very well with prosciutto, honey-roasted peanuts, and lightly grilled veggies. If served at a warmer temp, you could pair it with white fish in a light white sauce, or lightly breaded tilapia. Nothing overpowering or buttery, though.
Would be great with baked cod and roasted potatos and I'm sorry I am just now thinking of that! If I could turn back time...
Anyway, this was very excellent and hard to believe it was 6 years old. Could last a few more years but why wait.

Edit: A few days after I posted this tasting note, I received a thoughtful message from the winemaker, who detailed several possible reasons that could cause a bottle to be off. He also offered to work something out on a future order. I appreciate the attention to detail and good customer service!
Hmmm. My bottle was unfortunately not in line with the prior tasting notes. I mostly got a mouthful of soft oak and heat from the alcohol. I literally tasted the 2018 the night before. I never would have guessed both bottles were from the same winery. Perhaps the bottle was a touch off. No rating on purpose.

I had planned on letting this age, but the bottle kept staring at me. Then it started taunting me. Finally I had to show it who was the boss. Umm...it was the wine. Brilliant freshness, cut, clarity and depth, with a dash of finishing spice. I need to put a bottle of this in a flight with the Massican Hyde Chardonnay. I think there is an affinity. Lovely stuff.

Medium gold. Crisp, full body with ample tropical fruit, mainly pineapple, as it develops in glass. Mouth coating of honey and touch of beeswax. Mildest hint of oak.

Great wine. White Burgundian pedigree. Angular Sharp precise. This is a great wine and it's going to be a spectacular wine with another 10 years on it. I have one bottle left and it'll never make it.

Crisp, minerally and loaded with lemon peel fruit, this is a very precise style of Chardonnay. It’s even visually precise, a gleaming light gold color with a touch of green at the rim. Long finish that hints at, but never goes to creaminess. It just powers through like a laser.

Wow, might be my favorite chardonnay of the day. Tasty. Nice lemon rind and green apple and yellow apple. Throw in some baking spice and cinnamon. Bingo.

Very sweet tropical fruits. High acid provides balance. Quite a battle going on here between fruit and acid.
