Dark and dense color. Aromas in direction of sweet dark berries, flowers, leather, tobacco and some oaky vanilla, and reminds somewhat of a "new world Bordeaux wannabe". Fruity and meaty on the palate, still with nice structure.

This wine is totally massacred by the oak. The decent floral haut medoc notes are just blown away by the vain effort to elevate this wine to a category it just is not at home in. Overpriced at this level of raw oakiness.

Gave 2.5h of air to this blend of blend of 60% Merlot and 40% Cabernet Sauvignon from this Haut-Médoc estate. Offers up blackberry, cedar, chocolate and dust. Dense and seductive, the palate is medium-bodied, with chalky and firm tannins, but the concentrated dark berries on the palate shine through. The lingering finish is streaked with hints of minerals and anise. Seriously good, room to evolve.

Darker fruited, ahowing more black fruit and currants. Some barnyard on the nose. Quite tannic, more coarse and cherry than polished, but in check with the fruit. Strong finish. Good young bdx, could use some time given the strong tannins. A nice mid weight bdx. On night 2 the tannins softened and it showed a bit of flint.

With charm, fresh, red fruits, tobacco leaf, cedar and earth, the wine is medium bodied, fruity, forward and delivers a charming example of a Medoc for a fair price.

Sleeper of the vintage? What a wonderful, brisk attack! Then a full bodied mid palate. This shows excellent potential. I like the mix of red and black fruit. It clamps down on the medium finish however, but aging will brighten this. Nice job, and seek this puppy out! 91-93+
