PnP enjoyed equally over two days. Still good freshness to the nose and palate. The palate's gotten more broad than when I first had this a few years ago (expected), and the length offers just a bit more, too. All in all, this is behaving just as I'd want it to at this stage. Proper acidity, and balance keep me coming back to this bottling. Easily highly recommended, now and the coming five years, anyway.

The taste grows on you. Not immediately lovable. Shiny/sunny yellow in colour. Aromas show gooseberries, lemon, smokiness. Flavours follow. Definite telltale sauv blanc flavours. Medium weight with a nice freshness, touch of creaminess and lemon pith bitterness. But their is some body weight to the wine. Nice wine but not quite my style in a sauv blanc.

My lands! An intense golden honeyed yellow color and exquisite in the glass. This looks like an aged white Rhone rather than Sauvignon Blanc. Apricot (in spades), cantaloupe, gooseberry and something almost, but not quite diesel-y, and yes while it showed some lymon it was not so much as to give this away as Sauvignon Blanc. The mouthfeel huge … almost hugely. As before a “wonderful wine” but more so. Such a shame that this is my last bottle. If I ever come across this again, I’ll know to hold it for minimum of seven to eight years before opening. 14.5% alc. With shrimp and cheeses. 07.01.23. Recommended.

Quick notes: creamed corn, boxwood, but more gooseberry by a factor of 5 over the boxwood; some apricot, particularly on the finish accompanied with some smokey goodness. A wonderful wine. 14.5% alc. With crabcakes. Recommended, leaning toward Highly Recommended.

Not much difference from a few weeks ago – still showing as a pale yellow and still beautiful in the glass. Melon, gooseberry and some boxwood, but with the telltale lymon of Sauvignon Blanc. The mouthfeel is this time is bigger … perhaps due to the food pairing. A wonderful wine. 14.5% alc. With shrimp salad for lunch on Independence Day. 07.04.22. Recommended.

A pale yellow, but not a weak yellow; beautiful in the glass. Melon, slight boxwood, lymon and flint all rise from the glass. The mouthfeel is still a touch taught; not quite as big as I imagined. Nevertheless, a pretty wine. With salmon mousse and spiced shrimp. 06.10.22. Recommended.

Clearly, the last bottle was just off as this one was quite good. Strong aromas of lemon on the nose and palate which were a bit much for me as it took away from everything else. Oak and vanilla are present which helps balance out a bit and add some complexity. Medium + to high acidity along with high alcohol means this has more life and nears some air after opening.

Purchased direct from wine retailer who acquired from winery. This is either a bad bottle or just a really funky wine. Bizarre nose that I can't describe which wasn't as present on the palate. Hopefully, it's just a bad bottle or in a really bad drinking window. Have 5 more so will see.

It is subdued, especially compared to other Sauvignon Blanc's. Perhaps because of its age. But it is certainly not past its drinking window. It has an impressive elegance. In any event, we found it to be thoroughly enjoyable over the course of two days.

This wine has become more creamy and nutty in the 15 months since I tasted it last (10/18 - 93 points), but it is still awfully good. Although it is less fresh, it is lively - an impressive feat at the five-year mark, especially for a SB priced around $40 (and produced at 1,600+ cases).
Light yellow in color, medium in body, nose of wet grass, lemon rind, and salt water. Tastes of orange marmalade, grapefruit, green apple, and vanilla bean, with a creamy yet still lifted finish. Blend of 94% Sauvignon Blanc and 6% Sémillon. 14.5% alcohol. This doesn't need as much of a decant as in 2018, but it still has plenty of energy. Drink in next year or two.

Evident oak bearing no semblance of NZ or old world Sauvignon blanc. A tour de force on its own right reining it in its finish with a touch of lemon peel and after thought of a hint of vegetal nature

An oak aged Sauvignon Blanc, this has a fairly intense nose that has subtle oak-influenced vanilla aromas layered on top of yellow fruit, citrus, and herbs. It is medium-full bodied with a creamy, elegant mouthfeel and appealing vanilla flavoured herbal characters. Acids are fresh and vibrant, while the finish length is excellent.

This refreshing and layered Sauvignon Blanc is drinking well right now, with a lovely blend of grassiness and tart flavors, balanced with a lively yet creamy finish. Light yellow, almost clear in color and medium in body, the wine offers aromas of wet grass, orange peel, and green apple. Layered tastes of grapefruit, lemon rind, pear, and almond extract, with a lively finish that combines acidity and roundness. Blend of 94% Sauvignon Blanc and 6% Sémillon. 14.5% alcohol. Improves with air (and as it approaches room temperature).
If you can find it at a discount, this is one of the better values in SB in Napa Valley, with an intensity and class that I've never been able to resist. This has a hint of reduction, which doesn't put it at the same level as the 2014, but I also think it could use another six months to integrate a bit more. Still going strong on second day. Drink in next year or two.

Premoxed and totally disjointed. Dumped down the sink and opened a 14 which drank proper.
