I suppose the most obvious comment (again) is that this does not feel 14.5% alcohol, and does not have the typical extraction of a rhone made for the international market.
So, relatively light garnet in glass, muted game and spice over red berries. Nice tannins, very long finish

Dark red color. Long legs. Herbal, earthy and fruity notes on the nose. On the palate, hints of truffle, dark cherry and blueberry. Acidity is medium. Soft tannins. Medium finish.

Bold, fresh and balanced: sweet (but not overripe) grenache glou-glou kept in check with great acidity, medium body, and very very fine tannin (mostly on the finish)
At 60 degrees, the 14.5 alcohol is unobtrusive.
Fairly complex nose, especially for the price
Around $26 from Costco if I remember. Wish I had gone in for more

I picked up at Costco @ 22.99, figured no worse the a nice CdR - bought the last 2.
PnP over two hours, with vaccuvin, bright AND fresh, I agree with Purslane not a fruit bomb, but great fruit, very nice acidity and tannins present, but not over the top and here and there just the slightest bit of well integrated oak.
Nice weight on the palate and while you can sense the alcohol, the mid length finish is smooth and fresh, to me an attribute of the acidity. It wasn’t what I was expecting to drink as a CdP, but very pleasant and greatcto drink.

Medium bodied, bright and fresh. Kirsch rules, raspberries and some garrigue add to the complexity. Good acid and tannins on the long, satisfying finish. Really like the relative restraint of the wine-it is not a fruit bomb!

Opened last night. Has benefited from air. Generous dark red raspberry with fair legs. Lovely kirsch and raspberry aroma. Excellent dark fruit in the mouth. Rich but with chewy tannins. This is excellent stuff, and a bargain to boot. 4-12-16-8: 90/100.

Medium-light bodied with structured playful tannins. Strawberry, red currant, red cherry, tobacco, and earth. Medium high acidity, medium soft mouth feel. Long soft finish.

Grenache spice dominates. A little hard edge coming from the Mourvèdre at al thrown into the blend
Smoke and garrigue woven throughout: while it is 14.5%abv, it does not feel as if it has been tailored to the riper international style. Nice, potential for higher rating over next 2-3 years

A costco bargain. Probably only sold there too! Med ruby color. Nose is a little reticent, but is Rhone grenache, and a bit spicy. In the mouth it has some weight but isn't overly serious. Good cherry and a bit candied. The tannins aren't harsh, the acidity is high. It has structure to last and a solid fruit core. Tasting blind I might say it's a CdR, although it is a little more serious than the average one. I think it has time to go, will probably improve, but I bet it'll be awkward in about 5 years then really good in 12-15 years.

The 2016 Domaine de Nalys Châteauneuf-du-Pape is a blend of 62% Grenache, 19% Syrah, 6% Counoise and the remaining 13% is composed of Mourvèdre, Vaccarère, Cinsault, Terret Noir and Muscardin. This begins with pretty aromas of red berry, strawberry preserve, dark cherry, currant and earthy nuances. A medium-bodied red with firm tannins and notable structure. Appealing today, but should coninue to develop over the next 7-10 years. (Best 2018-2026)

Fresh, peppery, smoky red fruits with a blast of garrigue to make and keep things interesting. Medium bodied, soft and forward, the cherry filled center of fruit is not hard to find.

Très beau fruit au nez, petit fruits rouges. En bouche, bel ampleur, tout en rondeur et étonnement long. Très agréable
