Excellent, similar comments to previously -classic St Amour but quite atypically substantial. Gorgeous wine. Colour: bright red berries Bouquet: warm florall/aromatic notes, spiced, smokey ripe red berries -cherries, raspberries and strawberries, plus blueberries Palate: gorgeous full bodied voluptuous, chalky and chewy, very spicey red berries, black pepper, soft fine grained tannins but filling out a reasonably substantial body, long dry clean finish. Juicy and fresh. January 2020

What it lacks in classical Gamay aromatics it makes up in sappy, deep kijafa cherry and blue fruit flavor backed by tannic structure and just enough acidity to water the mouth. And a hint of granite minerality to boot. A beauty.

Colour: deep bright red berry Bouquet: spiced rich red berries, mainly cherries, but also raspberries and strawberries, slightly smokey Palate: as bouquet, plus blueberries, black pepper, quite full bodied for a Beaujolais, but also fresh fruit, seems like fine grained tannins, slightly chalky, great long clean finish. Popped and poured. Pretty straight forward, sweet red fruit driven, cherry and redcurrarant. Light bodied, slightly sweet, low tannins, fresh ish and a good food wine with not much complexity. Finish is short. Short now.

Excellent, a far more robust Beaujolais than I'm used to. 13.5% alc. Colour: quite dark red berries Bouquet: warm, floral/aromatic notes, ripe red and blue fruits, strawberry, raspberry, blueberry, spice Palate: as bouquet, full bodied and voluptuous, chalky and chewy, black pepper and spice, fruity but big soft tannins, and far more full bodied than your average Beaujolais, especially a St Amour November 2017

Similar to the previous note. Initially also hints of liquorice that dissipated with airing.

Excellent sour red fruit (strawberries, pomegranate, raspberries... not sweet and juicy but the tart side).
Great backbone of minerality. Taut and non-fatiguing of the palate.
As it opens, the dark and more luscious side teases out (still within reason).

The Gamay is showing itself from the less tangy side with a mellow touch. More Burgundy like with nice fruit and a hint of tertiary aromas.

Nice, easy drinking. Not your typical basic Beaujolais. More complexity, darker in fruit. More towards a simple burgundy.

Fresh cracked black pepper. Luscious red fruit. Good acidic lift. Sweet tannins. Hint of iodine
