It was Barossa Shiraz the second I got a whiff. Thought It was St Hallett Blackwell.
This is drinking well already, if I had any more I’d be drinking them at leisure over the next 5 years.
Drinking next to the 18 Standish, this was no slouch clearly showing the Barossa style and balance that can be achieved with warm region and vintage with careful winemaking.
Very good.

Purple tinged dark cherry red, clear, medium colour depth 3 Sweet berry fruit, strawberry or blackberry jam, a hint of smoky oak, floral scent, crushed leaf 6 Smooth, mellow, dry, rich cassis fruit balanced with soft tannin. Moderate acidity, mild spirit burn. Full bodied. Long complex spicy finish. Even structure. Slight smokiness lingers at the end. Very easy to drink. 9

Our favorite Shiraz, great QPR! PnP. Juicy, fruity, medium to full body, tasty tannins, tastes of blackberry, peppery notes, just the right mix. The tannins are still a bit on the strong side: that may get better with additional years or decanting/air.

Deep ruby color. On the nose the aromas were medium plus with primarily wet earth, blackberry, blackcurrant leaf, meaty and wet stones. On the palate the wine was dry with medium plus acidity, medium plus fine tannins, still somewhat green, full body, high alcohol. Flavors include the black cherry, blackberry, toast, char, alot of meaty flavors and of medium plus intensity. The finish was medium and with a bitter note. The wine is well balanced with intensity on the palate and nose but a disappointing finish and lacks some complexity. However, it has some potential for aging and would try again in a few years as the flavors develop further.
Decanted for 2 hours. Blackberries and plum hit me at first with a little herbal tea infused smoky fireplace. Better than i expected for only 2 years old. A little uneven but hopefully another couple of years will lift this wine into the low 90's.

Blueberry and cherry fruits in the nose and mouth over a smoky, spicy base. Improves in the glass. I think it has 3-4 more years of development.

Full bodied. Long complex very spicy finish. Smokiness lingers on the finish. Interesting, but not my style.

Barossa all the way, drinking well now but lots of life left.
Well done!
Matched my 3-pepper rib eye perfectly

This was much improved on previous tastings - just needed some time. A very nice shiraz with good fruit and a smooth finish.

Very disappointed in this one. Had a nasty sharp taste on first opening. Gradually improved with standing and food.
