Drank from a magnum that was open two days. Full bodied and heavy as expected but does deliver. Ultra ripe black and blue fruit, milk chocolate, cassis and enough mineral to keep it fresh enough. Borderline too much for me but we’ll made.

Fruit seemed very muted. Tannins are smooth. Maybe not in a good drinking window. Will wait a couple of years for the next one. 4 hour decant. No rating.

Tasted in a Realm Horizontal, together with 12 Dr.Crane, 16 Absurd and other realms. Many others chose to vote Absurd WOTN, I held a different idea. Double Decanted for 16 hours, red fruits, sandalwood, nose was awesome and palate was even better. Silky Tannins, rich, big structure, elegant. Absurd’s potential is greater but BTK right now was more expressive.

Opened in the bottle six plus hours no decant. Textually silky with refined tannins. Loads of typical Realm milk chocolate mixed with cooling To Kalon minerals/gravel. Still needs time to develop as the mid palate lacked some of the concentration you’d expect.

Super dark color on this baby - and nose of dark blue and black fruit. Comes through with a big push on the palate - yum. Finish is powerful.
Definitely best with food - in this case porcini rubbed rib eyes. And think this benefitted from the air. Really held point throughout the evening - didn't fall off a bit, and also didn't "open up" more. Will be even better with a few more years in cellar. Outstanding.

Super complex nose - initially displayed lots of violets and floral, with licorice, black cherry, blueberries, camphor, forest floor and baking spices. Over the course of about ten hours, it developed this incredibly fun and distinctive note of Hubba Bubba Bubble Gum and cotton candy. Totally unique and like nothing I've really ever experienced.
On the pallet, this is medium to full bodied with mostly blue fruit and solid depth of flavor. It's rich, taut, has great balance with good acid levels. The tannins are quite prominent but well integrated, and it finishes long and pure. The only place I felt this was lacking a bit was the mid pallet, and that may come around with time in the bottle. It is certainly still a baby.
Had next to a 2016 Vice Versa BBS LPV, which was a bit better in that it just had more of everything. It's also $115 more a bottle direct.
