Holy smokes. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Flint, crushed rocks, lemon hits hard on the nose. The palate opens up over a hour or so and becomes laser focused with bright orchard fruit, pineapple shaving and this crazy bright salinity on the finish. The wine is full of texture and heft. It shows a little of the sweetness of the age and a hint of caramel nut, but it only accentuates the wine doesn't detract. No sign of slowing down.

Heitz Martha's vertical 74-77 with an absolutely CURSED line up of chardonnay. (Major Domo): Much higher fill than the last bottle, but unfortunately it was completely oxidized.
