This is far and away the best wine I’ve had from L’Ecole. We let this decant for over an hour and it opened up nicely. I like that L’Ecole’s Merlot does not have that dirty like taste that seems to come from Hungarian oak aging. I’m assuming this is French Oak aged and it meshes nicely with the Cab.
Nice full and rounded on the pallette with dark fruit and a hint of earth and pepper.

Still a lot of life, probably not peaked yet but very nice with steak, pesto, and blue cheese sauce.
