More open and accessible than our review 7 months ago. Still a lot of sediment, but the fruit is ripe and pure. Didn't even decant. Got some stoniness this time around that added to complexity and allure.

Massive sediment on cork and in bottle. Big nose of ripe fruits and oak. Palate is similar, with wave of american oak and mint in finish. Give this an hour or two in decanter to settle in. Dry chocolate notes emerge to balance everything out. Oak becomes more complex, imparting sandalwood.

Wonderful dark fruits. Great for Thanksgiving dinner. Still a bit young, hot on the palette. My experience with Lewis cabs and red blends is that it takes 10 years for them to enter their primary drinking window.

WS is wrong in their review. Wine is flamboyant with dark chocolate and blue fruit compote but has a solid structure and long smooth, albeit oak driven finish. Big, bold American wine for sure but for the price this is a great deal.

For the far lower price of a Lewis cab, this wine is nearly as good. Dark, rich, pleasing vanilla taste, with nice smoothness from 30% merlot. Outstanding wine.

An extracted 15.5% high alcohol slightly candied wine. Lots of mocha, chocolate, and vanilla notes. Great producer but not my style of wine. Drink with chocolate. Boom

PnP. This is drinking beautifully right now, and went terrific with our Italian fare. Great price point, as well. More tasting notes once we do our Instagram post.

Fruity, powerful stuff with distinct blueberry and vanilla notes on the palate. Enjoyable, if slightly lacking in focus. May be worth holding for a bit to see how it settles down.

PNP. Syrah-rich blend with nose of jammy black cherry, allspice, oaky cocoa, vanilla and a hint of beef jerky. Rich, plush, super smooth palate. Round tannins on a medium finish. This was very enjoyable to drink, but may not age well.

The nose is lush fruit, pepper, herbal notes....the sort of aroma that is amongst my favorite where it rushes up and says "LUSH"..... Tongue is delicious waves of dark fruit, spice, tight tannins, leather, With a finish that's broadly across all areas of the tongue in a delicious melange of flavors and tannins... If you buy it you won't regret it!!

Consistent with past notes. Great rich nose and more layered ripe dark fruit than a typical Syrah. Exceptional value from a great producer.

Continues to drink well. In that nice zone of good fruit and good structure. Still a little too much oak or it would score higher.

Tannins have resolved and oak is better integrated. Really drinking well now.

A great wine at a much more reasonable price than Lewis cabs. Brilliant blend of dark fruit, heavy sediment, but well balanced with a long finish

Big fruit with some oak on the finish. Consistently excellent every year. Wanted to drink another after that Laker debacle.
