Complex and layered, evolved with time in the glass.
Decanted for 45 minutes or so. Cherries, dark berries, pencil shavings, that smell get when you visit a garden center with a lot of decorative gardening rock. Fine tannin.

Popped and poured. Dark crimson color. Nose showed ripe and pure black and red fruits with some blackberry, black cherry, raspberry, a slightly green/herbal note and some toasty oak spice but it's still very primary and dominated by juicy, ripe fruit. Similar flavors on the palate with medium+ acidity and tannins and a smooth mouthfeel and finish. I think the merlot really comes through on this wine. This wine also has a long life ahead of it and will likely be more complex in a few years but there is a lot to like right now if you want a well made, structured, fruit driven Napa red.

Wow. So much going on here. Garnet. Cedar, blackberry, smoldering ember on the nose. In the mouth, powdery tannins stand out with sour cherry, tobacco and shiitake elements. Medium+ acidity. Everything in perfect balance with a long finish of tar and herbes de Provence. Beautiful in every way.

PnP to have a taste. Quite approachable but waited another 30-45 before pouring a full glass. Strong hints of raspberry, cherry, mushroom, earth tones and a very slight peppery finish. Medium bodied--not as full as I was expecting but solid effort and very, very good. This improved over the evening and has plenty of years ahead of it. Drink over the next 10. Merlot, Cab, Cab Franc, Petit Verdot, Malbec

Opaque dark violet. Nose some dark fruits, faint vanilla. An herbal note. Palate dark fruits with some cassis initially before transitioning into more of a red-fruited note with time; some graphite/pencil shavings, and a balanced herbal note; some brightness towards the finish but still a bit of a plush texture.
Very nice density and complexity. Drinking well on the PnP, still young and apparently age-worthy, tastes like a younger balanced Bordeaux

Shimmering notes of redcurrant, blackberry, maple sap, and a hint of peppery spice on the nose. Deep rich penetrating presence of dark fruit on the palate with salty sweet tannins and mind clearing acid on the long finish. A wonderful pure experience of balance and craft.

Aromas of dusty blackberries, shy wild roses, wisps of smoke, and redwood. Fine crafted layers of fruit, tannin, salt, and acid on the palate, with a powerful driving aromatic tannic finish. A beautiful wine, beyond classification as old or new world.

Incredibly drinkable right now. Soft tannins, red fruit, not incredibly complex. Great gifting wine for a friend. Only knock is it's overpriced for what it is.

One of the easiest drinking wines one could haver. Not the most complex structure, but ample fruit, medium to dark red color, 30 second finish and hints of cedar, tobacco and light spices

Consistent with previous note. Fantastic bottle of Napa red with the plushness of the merlot really shining through nicely.

Very drinkable right now. Great, big nose, lots of fruit but not a fruit bomb, great finish. Loved it with beef ribs.
