  • This was from a magnum and I think it helped. It is absolutely gorgeous and hard to put down. It is fully mature with a deep nose of honey and iodine with cheesy notes as noted by another recent reviewer. This still has its minerality and shows non of the flabbiness mentioned by some reviews. However, this is probably a bottle variation issue at this age. The finish is excellent and still retains the dryness mentioned in reviews on release.

  • This is properly mature and has gone a little bit soft, but displays a very complex, deep nose with old cheese, yellow straw, iron, yellow plum and honeysuckle. Very good and a prime example of mature Chablis. WOuld have liked a little more energy perhaps.

  • 2019 Family Xmas; 12/20/2019-12/25/2019 (Alicante - España): Elegant aromas of chalk and sweet pears. Minerality and fruit in equal parts. Let's add notes of orange peel and wet limestone.
Acidity that provides length in the mouth. Density in recoil but still with echoes of his GC lineage. It really presents a greater aristocratic character than when I tasted it more than two years ago. It still has room in my view. Merry Christmas!

Elegantes aromas a tiza y a peras dulces. Mineralidad y fruta a partes iguales.
¡Feliz Navidad!

  • Mature chablis with heavy notes of mature cheese, mushroom, old socks and used adhesive. Also lightly roasted nuts, honey and a hint of lilacs. Not much fruit left but still singing acidity and lots of crushed seashells. Iodine and brine. At times a bit heavy. Good lenght. Very nice.

  • Flying l'Yonne; 8/29/2017-9/1/2017 (Irancy - France): Served by the glass from a new bottle. Very greasy, with a density that covers up the cheeks of your mouth. It has a remarkable initial thrust and a contained acidity that indicates that this is a lot of life. On the nose is more modest but with delicious aromas of flowers and candied citrus fruits perfectly defined. Minerality is walking all the way. A delight that will be at its peak in another few years. Totally recommended. Even more I bought one.

Totalmente recomendado. Es más, compré una.

  • This had a decent amount of TCA, but underneath I could still taste nice minerality and texture. Bummer.

  • I've been loving some of the young La Chablisienne GC's lately, and this was no exception. Not quite the density, elegance and complexity of the recent Le Fief de Grenouilles, but a beauty just the same. Grapefruit, salty sea air, green apple, perfect balance of fruit and acid, a beautiful wine.

  • The very Chablis-like nose is dominated by green fruit, saline minerals, and slate. The palate is quite balanced with intermingled impressions of green and white fruits, iodine, slate and citrus. Approachable now, but can age a bit more.

  • Really nice, drank well tonight. Very nice nose with pineapple (but not sweet), hint of something like mint and a touch of something else like mango. On the palate, the front is big, then it leans out - notes of white fruit, juicy acidity and minerality. Nice finish, with a hollow spot maybe 3/4 of the way through. Overall, light on it's feet instead of a powerhouse and great to go with dinner of grilled salmon with beurre blanc.

  • Five Days in Paris; 11/17/2009-11/21/2009: Pale straw green. Crisp, lighter '04 style. Nice salinity and it grew in the glass. While perhaps not a top Grand Cru nor as intense as Preuses can be, this is an excellent effort and well worth drinking.

  • The OC Bagged Crew--October 2009 (Sun Dried Tomato Cafe, San Juan Capistrano, CA): Started off slow and still maintained this posture, olny opening some by the end of the flight. Mineral, pear, delicate. The minerality is refreshing and the flavors, while still wrapped up, portend what I think will be a more expressive wine with age. Need more time.

  • The Blind Crew at Sundried Tomatoe Cafe (Sundried Tomatoe Cafe, San Juan Capistrano): Decanted about 2 hours prior to consumption. Very tight showing lots of minerals on the nose and palate but little else. Bone dry and a bit smokey. Served blind and guessed as a Sancerre which was telling. No flaws detected. Will check in tonight and see if it opened any.

  • A lot of new wood, but if you don't mind that it is really good. Minerals, walnuts, oyster shells, and earthly tones in a bone-dry wine. On the finish you get echoes of blue stones and honneysucke. Really nice, especially with seafood. Drink from now until 2014.

  • A winner, and drinking beautifully right now; well-structured, crisp, with some heft

  • A little funk that blew off, and for some at the table preferable to an '06 W. Fevre Les Preuses; but for all tasty and delicious and, certainly, solid QPR

  • Mineral dominated, bone dry Chablis with a clear character of wet granite stones and slate, supported by sweet but restrained white and yellow fruits and citruls-like acidity; coats the mouth, fairly lactic.
