  • Pleasant Gruner overall, after she opens, and inexpensive price helps. Served at 60 degrees, kept screw cap on and at 60 degrees.

@ PnP: Bit too tart & sour, glass drank over an hour did not help, upfront fruit. (85-86)

@ 24hrs: Now open for business, fruit diled down a bit yet all is in sync today and the tart/sour bite is gone. Pleasant, more of a sipper but easy to go back to. Finish really lingers. (88)

@ 96hrs: Ok still going nice, little bit faded from day #2 and slight bite coming on. Still fine, enjoying nightcap. (87)

    Happy Holidays

  • Good as always really enjoyable QPR Gruner Vetliner especially at $12.50 case sale price. Hard enough to find many Gruners here in midwest.

  • Really enjoyable, rounder than other gruners I’ve had in the past. Not much on the pepper front, reminds me of a good Sancerre from a warmer vintage

  • Another great bottle this has become a house favorite for us. Crisp clean citrusy wine with nice finish. Not so acidic or tart like other Gruners we've had. A good QPR at $14. Everyone enjoyed with cheese and olives and stuffed mushrooms to start off friends birthday dinner.

  • Another great bottle that is a nice lighter style with some character. Bit of floral and tart apple vs the usual citrusy acidic Gruners I've had & will buy more

  • Really enjoyable Gruner Vetliner. Notes pretty much same as 7/13. Nice easy drinking Gruner with bit of citrus and minerals but a slight bit tart apple fruit? One of the better Gruners I've had especially for nice QPR considering there's usually not a big selection of Gruners here in the midwest as we're lucky to find maybe 4-5 in the bigger wine houses. Have and would for sure buy again for those who've maybe not had the chance to try this varietal yet. Enjoy

  • I'm kinda with "upfromthecellar"s description except I am kinda of a fan of Gruner since I only stumbled onto it a couple years ago. This is for sure one of my favorites (i.e... there's not usually much of a selection). Nice balance of acidity and tart fruit with a bit of pineapple and a smooth easier drinking Gruner than most that goes well with some cheese and olives plate or on its own for summer deck entertaining. Give it a try I'd buy again.

  • I am not generally a big fan of "grooner", finding it a kind of betwixt and between wine. Oh I know its considered "hip" by many somms, especially in Brooklyn and the Village, (they consider it very "versatile" - what I call betwixt and between) but this one was surprisingly good. It had a roundness and great mouth feel to it that I'm not accustomed to and a balance that made it downright yummy.
