Decanted for approx. 30 minutes…Rich, without being heavy. Tart cherries to open and mineral mid. Nice acid pop and good backbone. Just really well made wine in a very good place right now. Smooth, but with decent complexity, and intact tannins.

Popped and poured on a whim. Dark youthful color and still rather primary. Plummy dark fruit with hints of iron. Slightly chalky tannins. Needs a few years yet.

Decanted for an hour plus and consumed over the following three. Aromas included red fruit, cinnamon and violet notes that carried to the palate while adding cherry, baking spice, anise, cocoa and dark pepper. Vibrant, fruit forward with solid depth. Balanced, polished and in a very good place for current consumption. Generous finish. Highly recommend!

PNP for birthday dinner. Decant for about 1 hour and you will be rewarded. Purchased at a small discount online so great QPR if it's not regular price. If you have any in the cellar I think it can still go for another 2-4 years of aging.

Young but no harsh edges when opened. 1st night was really good but still holding back - 90pts. 2nd night it had opened nicely - 94pts. Ive consumed 10 of these so far and it has consistently been pleasurable to drink but restrained. Seems like they might be getting better.

This 7 year old beauty is still super young. Dark garnet/purple color. Lots of intensity, focused and grippy. Black cherries and plums, Smokey oak, new leather with firm tannins and lively acidity. I won’t open my next 2 bottles maybe until 2023/2024 (if I’m patient). This was a bit closed off today. Cheers 🍷🍷

Opaque. Bold and strong Cab. Ripe fruits but chewy tannins on finish with bright acidity. Tasting so well and balanced. Excited to see how it developes..

Wow! So, I drank a previous bottle as a PNP about 6-7 months ago and that affected my initial perception of this bottle going in. Well after a couple of hours decant and a comparison to a 2015 St Helena cab, this wine, just blows it away. Beautiful nose and just superb! You can almost feel that this wine is about to hit its stride. Smooth, mouth coating, in a balance not cloying way. Superb!

Decanted for 45min-1hr. Blackcurrant, cassis, ripe black fruit on the nose, with some fine hints of vanilla / oak. Soft tannins, well integrated after 6 years with refreshing acidity that made me go back for sip after sip. Plus my fiancé loved this wine, so an extra point. 94+

Drinking beautifully at six years young, classic Napa cab with dark fruit, cedar, and forest components. Great body with soft tannins. I imagine given this 3-5 more years it will start to develop more notes.

Dark purple color, with cherry and cassis puree on the nose. The palate shows cherry pie and blackberry compote notes, with sweet spice hints showing through. Offers a gorgeously plush feel through the finish, with the fruit soaking up the soft tannins.

Great wine as always, I'm getting a lot of that black cherry thing and currant, with a touch of french oak weaved in there. It's really a nicely balanced cabernet.

In a really nice place right now. Drinking well. Great balance. Got better with time in the decanter, but honestly, was pretty good from the pop of the cork.

Big jammy fruit with serious mouth watering tannins. Solid right out of the bottle upon opening. Red and black fruit with layered complexity, minimal earthy notes, pencil lead and wet slate.

Dark purplish ruby red. Dark nose with layers of purple flowers, cinnamon, black pepper, spices and black berries. Heavy tannins (8/10) with a full body. Still insanely young, need to leave our last bottle for a few years. Dark berries on the palate with dark baking spices and volcanic soil. Long and lingering finish. Drink till 2035.

4 hours slow O, and consistent with previous note of a week ago. This wine seemed to strike a great balance of rich fruit, tannin, earth, and acidity. This already seems to be in a good spot, and it feels like the tannin and acid give it some upside. (Still, I'm not a buyer at the market price)

This bottle much better than the last one we opened. Dark red hue, Lilacs and light pepper notes. After the pepper wore off, smokiness and wet earth came through. Very nice

First winery on our third day in Napa Valley is Paradigm Winery in Oakville with our amazing host, Mary Ann. First of the three Cabernet Sauvignons was this 2014. Made up of 90% Cabernet Sauvignon, 8% Merlot, 1% Cabernet Franc and 1% Petit Verdot from their estate vineyard in Oakville. 14.5% Alc/Vol.
Dark purplish ruby red. Deep and dark Napa valley floor nose with dark flowers, black and purple fruits, a touch blue too with some cinnamon. Heavy tannins (8/10) with a full body. Love the palate, loaded with lush and dark fruits, cinnamon, anise and a hint of dark cocoa. A bit of dark volcanic soil in the long finish. Drink till 2034. (93+)

Black cherry, cassis, wet mineraloty on the nose. A bit oakier than I remember but still very good.
A bit dry on the finish, but could be serving it a bit cold (outside in January in Phoenix) but still lovely.

I let it breathe in the glass for 15 minutes, which allowed it to open. A bit peppery, which will hopefully calm down as it ages.
