Better than last time, more dark fruit and a better finish. Its hard to believe this wine is 10+ yrs old, as it was still bright and fresh. Has sediment so filter.

Picked up this lovely up at the winery. By the way...what a beautiful mountain top winery. And what a great approach ...organic and sustainable and they are making it work. Had all their wines and liked the Syrah the best. Frankly, this is one of the best kept secrets for California Syrah...the Moon Mountain Estate. This has just such a nice balance -- sumptuous fruit, a dash of pepper, silky smooth tannins, lovely mouth feel, long slow finish. But do let breathe....about an hour -- then this becomes one of those wines that just goes down so smoothly you don't know what happened. Lovely and hard to find.

- Violet color and aromas of black currant, black pepper and oak. It's balanced with a medium body. Smooth texture with a medium finish - Not overly complex but a ice everyday wine, don't see it getting any better.

Dark red leathery fruits on the nose with some blueberries to go along. Cassis, black fruits, and some dark chocolate on the palate. This one is more ready to drink than the 2002 that I've tried earlier.

Hot tasting, no overall flavors, past its prime. Still passable but only just.

When first opened, felt thin. The 2nd day the wine was full bodied and very drinkable.

Ok so tomorrow I'm going and ordering more. Herbal, rich, dark fruit. Between this and the Petit Verdot I'm impressed.
