Much improved on a bottle I had last year which, while enjoyable, was heavy on blackberries and lacked depth. Still very light aromas, but now the sweet red fruit flavours are well integrated. Herbal undertones and smooth finish with vanilla and some oak present, but not overbearing and balances the gentle tannins. Really enjoyed, looking forward to revisiting, in retrospect a steal for the price.

Deep dark fruits on the nose, cream. Brambles, a lot of oak. Too much oak in my opinion. Lacks complexity. Not enough character. Can be more refreshing. Not balanced. Interesting to try but too much of a good thing can be bad. Too rich.
Licorice and leather. Needs to be opened an hour, at least. Would have given it an 88 when opened, 90-91 once it opened up. Was good with pasta and duck. Good wine when you are not eating beef, but are having French food

Blend f 55% Syrah, 25% Carignan and 20% Grenache. Aged in a mix of new and old oak. Blueberry, blackberry nose with a slight medicinal edge. Herbal with grainy tannins. Good length.

Strong oak, almost like a crianza, plenty of fruit, a lingering green stemminess with a hint of spice, and just about enough tannins to make themselves felt. Oak dominates overall. The tannins are quite mild. Good wine for adding depth to food, especially a tomato sauce. Good QPR, but not very complex.

On the downward slide - bramble flavours getting mushy. Still a lovely, comforting wine

Dark fruit, creamy oak, spices on the nose. On the palate fruity, bright, spicy. Good fruit, soft tannic grip, nice. 88-90
