PnP. Pale straw color, baked apple, toasty oak, some matchstick reduction notes, some citrus. Medium body, medium acidity. The oak and matchstick notes dominate the fruit. Last tasted 3+ years ago. Likely best 1-2 years ago. OK now, but seems like it's on a downward slope. Drink up if you have more. My last bottle.
Notes added on day 3: The fruit was a bit shy and subdued on the first day, but it emerged on days 2 and 3 where there was lovely lemon citrus and it pulled it back into better balance. So maybe I'm wrong that is in decline. Been drinking wine and writing notes for almost 40 years and some times it still seems like I don't know anything and the wine is a lot smarter than I am. I still think I preferred this more 3 years ago, but it was far more harmonious on days 2 and 3 than on the first day. Can't complain for an 8 year old $20 WV chardonnay.

Citrus/lemon/lime, mineral, toasty oak, some matchstick. Fruit has tremendous depth, but is framed by oak and acid. Good length and balance. Five years old but with plenty of life ahead.

There is a beautiful core of lemon/lime flavors that give this wine an edginess that's really nice. This is exactly what I'm looking for with Chardonnay. Well done.

Distinctly Goodfellow, with that matchstick note and crisp flavors. Ridiculous value. Paired with scampi.
