Decanted and aerated, which seemed to bring out more complexity while also taming the tartness somewhat. Enough structure to warrant a little aging, so recommending to wait a year or so on this.

Montsecano and Vina Maitia (Sunfish Cellars): Served too warm, this was rustic and had significant tannin. Plummy fruit and tart cherry. This seems very age-worthy, with a lot of structure right now. What will happen to this in 5 or 10 years?

An odd Pinot. The taste was okay, but the aroma had some unpleasant almost petroleum aspects. A bit acidic at first, but it eased the next day. Somewhat musty finish. Will not try again

Very nice aromatics on this, red fruits, pomegranate, citrus rind. Tart, square, refreshing. Ultimately a bit short on complexity, but it is a fun wine to drink.

I can't figure out if this wine is serious, but it is certainly vibrant, outgoing, and luscious. Cranberry, cola, and raspberry in a tart rhubarb wrapper. I think it's leaning more towards fun than serious.

Rubis clair avec reflet pourpre, nez explosif séduisant qui pinote sur la cerise et la terre, alliage de puissance et de finesse en bouche, avec une bonne acidité, de doux tannins et une belle longueur. C'est à la fois goûteux et élégant.

Translucent ruby red color with faint youthful blue highlights. Very open and expressive nose with beautiful, attractive aromas of wild red berries, fresh cranberry-driven Pinosity, some sour cherry, a little bit of sour plum and a hint of orange zest. The wine is light-to-medium-bodied and slightly wild on the palate with super-crunchy and slightly wild flavors of ripe raspberries, tart lingonberries, some sour cherry bitterness, a little bit of leathery funk and a sweet hint of blackcurrants or boysenberries. The wine's structure relies mainly on the bright, high acidity than on the tannins that are practically nonexistent. The alcohol makes the wine come across as slightly warm. The finish is crunchy, slightly grippy and a bit wild with long flavors of cranberries, lingonberries, some sour cherries, a little bit of peppery Pinosity and a sweeter, subtle hint of plums or boysenberries.
A very lovely, tasty and delicious little Pinot Noir that is obviously quite ripe, yet remarkably crunchy and pure in style. Actually, stylistically this wine feels closer to warm-vintage Burgundy than most of the European Pinot Noirs. Very impressive and hands-down charming effort. It's hard to say whether this wine will actually develop in the cellar or not, but I really don't need to find out as the wine is drinking so beautifully right now. Priced according to its quality at 24,95€.
