Excellent Zin. This has aged nicely and probably has several more years to go. It was good from first opening right through to the second day. Nicely balanced.

Dark and full of black and blue fruits with a nice zesty middle and finish. The finish showed a nice tight but smoothing tannin. Heavy body wine. Made to drink for a long time yet.

Historic Vineyard Society Tasting, nose of red and black fruit, briar, and pepper, same on the palate, big body, very tasty, mouth filling fruit, needs two years to peak drinking, elegant, rich fruit, almost mouth filling, some subtlety here, long finish, great for $40.

Black & red fruits on nose and palate. However, way too acidic and unbalanced. Very unusual for Seghesio Zins, which are typically very nice. Would not buy or try again.

Garnet in color, clear, bright; nose of raspberry, vanilla, and oak; raspberries and pepper on the palate; good acidity and medium body; long peppery finish. This Zinfandel is fruit forward and very juicy with good acidity that made me salivate and want to take another drink.

Tasting Notes from Winery "Upfront flavors of blue fruit, blackberry and boysenberry lead to notes of cherry pie with a graham cracker crust. Brisk acidity highlights the entry and finish. Balanced tannins in the long persistent finish."

tasted Maffei and Pagani 2015 together. Both 92's Maffei more earthy likely at peak; Pagani brighter - strong for several more years

Another couple of years in the cellar help quite a bit. Dense, lush, blue fruit, as the tasting notes say, with a savory, lingering finish

Mid to low tannins - Nice Acid, brings out the Sour Cherry. Not very complex, simple straight forward flavors.
