Tasted on day 3. Medium ruby garnet color. Violets on the nose. Tasted this against 3 other Pinots. The Belle Pente blew them all away. Some nice mid palate spice. Sweet cherry fruit. Hint of black tea on the finish. Excellent.

Tasted after 90 minutes of air. Light floral on the nose. Medium garnet with some bricking. Tangy cherry fruit. Very rich. Big pop of spice on the mid palate. Just explodes with a potpurri of fruit and spice. Very complex. Some tannins and acid provide some balance. One of my favorite Oregon Pinots.

PnP. Mostly consistent with previous note from 9/2021. Cherry, raspberry, spice, some black tea notes and forest floor. This might be seven years old, but it comes across like it's really just getting started. Medium body, medium acidity, integrated but noticeable tannins. This is really delicious and has classic Dundee Hills red fruit. While this is remarkable now, experience with previous vintages show this should only continue to improve. It should drink well through 2030 and perhaps longer. I can see the score going up with time as it develops. This is a great example of the heights Oregon Pinot can attain.

Consistent with past notes 2+ years ago, only getting more ripe and sweet. Paired nicely with first Copper River salmon grilled on alder wood. Drink 2022-2026. Technical score: 92. Enjoyment score: 92.

Stellar now, but past experience with this cuvee says this is just getting started. Tons of red berry fruit, (red cherry, raspberry and strawberry), spice, forest floor, medium acid, well integrated, fine tannins. It's a hotter vintage and the fruit has some fleshiness, but this is well balanced and has a bright, long future. It's drinking well now with some air, but this is something that can easily go 15 years from the vintage. I'd hold a couple of years if possible. This is classic Dundee Hills PN that should improve.

i think i opened this 5 years too early. I really struggled with this for the first 2 hours. Every sip was very different. A moody teenage. A lot of depth but there was this Big Red/Red Hots note on the nose that almost ruined the wine for me. Booze felt a bit hot too. The depth and complexity kept me in. After 2.5 hours the big red note blended in/mellowed and ended up being very nice. The booze never really found it's place. Lots of structure at this point still as well. Unfortunately no other bottles to see what some time will do to this one

Brother in Town Lot's of Wines!!!; 6/26/2021-7/4/2021: Had this 2 years ago and showing well. Strawberry, raspberries, underbrush, minerals and floral notes. Medium plus finish. Still plenty of life left in this and this was tasted on day 2.

Tasted after several hours of air. Medium garnet color. Nice floral notes. Sweet crunchy raspberry fruit. Quite interesting tension here between fruit and acid. Both are battling it out for supremacy but it ends up in a draw like all fine wines. Very full mid palate and plenty of lift. Medium plus finish. Very nice effort.

Enjoyed this after 3 hours of air. Tasted along side a 2017 Big Table Farm Yamhill Carlton, 2007 Terres Basses Willakenzie, and 2015 Terres Basses Willakenzie. The Belle Pente was our favorite. Round red berry fruit just explodes on the palate. Very spicy. Good persistence on the palate. The Murto never fails to deliver. Brian and Jill are masters of Pinot.

Nose: The nose shows tart and upfront red fruits of strawberries, raspberries, pomegranate, roses, and a slight earthiness that has a savory side. While this has some bright and slightly candied fruits, it's beautifully balanced.
Taste: The feel is medium/full bodied with crisp, medium acidity. The feel has some density while still being elegant and balanced with strawberries, raspberries, pomegranate, roses, red currants, and wild flowers that permeate on the side palate and back end.
Overall: This is a lovely, red fruited Oregon Pinot Noir. This shows off the elegant side of Oregon Pinot and is drinking beautifully after 3 hours of air. This can certainly age, but it's utterly delicious right now.
Opened and decanted 20-min ahead of grilled balsamic pork loin. Cloudy violet with a ruby hue. Nose brings musty forest floor, underbrush, violets, red roses, cinnamon sticks, and rhubarb pie. The palate is medium-light, round, crunchy, and hard, bringing tart pomegranate, red cherries, more rhubarb, black tea, cloves, and lingering blackberries and boysenberries into a supple, refined finish. Very well balanced with good depth, precision, and execution. Will be best 2021-2028. Technical score: 93. Enjoyment score: 92.

Tasted on day 2. Expressive sour cranberry fruit explodes on the palate. Very persistent. Nice floral nose. Some spicy notes that just hang on the palate and don't fade. Some high tone herbal notes. Medium plus finish. Very nice effort by Brian and Jill. One of my favorite Oregon Pinots so far this year.

Tasted along side an Anderson Family 2011, Seven of Hearts Special Reserve 2012, Biggio Hamina Old Farm 2012. The Belle Pente Murto was our tasting groups favorite. Had 3 first place votes among 4 tasters. Very sweet cherry fruits. Then the acid kicks in and provides some needed grip. Good spicy notes and fine grained tannins. Some cola notes on the long finish that goes on and on. A great effort from Jill and Brian.
