A really nice Super Tuscan blend that is affordable. Nice nose of cherries and blackberry. A fine presence on the palate with favors of cherry, chocolate and blackberry. Firm tannins reinforced with tart but softening acicidity, it finishes with a bite but also chewiness. A great value for a refresingly softening wine.

Sour cherry, licorice nose, bit of farmyard on the palate, with nice floral and spice notes, reasonable length to finish, benifited fom decanting, a solid well made wine

Tuscany and Southern Italy (Farpointe Cellar): The nose had cherry and earth, and a little spice. The palate was soft and juicy, with cherry, spice, floral notes, and an earthy finish.

Popped and decanted for nearly 2 hours before drinking. This a very good Super Tuscan that showed deep rich color, licorice and dark fruits on the nose, not to mention a touch of barnyard. This wine had good structure with a fair amount of spice on the pallet and a decent finish. A good QPA for $13.00.

Initial smokey nose leading to sour cherries, savoury and herbaceous aromas. On the palette, full bodied with silty tannins, balanced acidity and some complexity. Well structured, drinking well but will benefit from further ageing over next 2 years.

Benefited from some decanting, initially a bit tight and thin, but seemed to gain weight with air. Nice fragrant nose, more red than black fruits, a little wood. Medium bodied, quite crisp with dry tannins, red cherry and currant fruit, quite acidic, nice finish. Pretty good, but not as good as the 2005.

Decanted for 2 hours. Intriguing aromas of herbs, lavender, and dried sour cherries that kept me interested. It was light on the palate, yet the sour cherry flavors came through with good intensity. This exceeded my expectations and was a spot on pairing with Ossobuco alla Milanese.

Medium color. Assertive, unpleasant nose of black cherry and herbs. Strong licorice and tobacco flavors with elevated VA that gives a harsh feel. A wine I don't pretend to understand, but seems mixed up and disjointed. I did not care for this at all.

great food wine, color, aromas, and flavor of violets, floral, with cherry, excellent with tomato sauce, but post-dinner, lost my interest after another glass

somewhat acidic, or at least tart; I was hoping it would be more smooth.

Drank to long ago for detailed notes...awesome wine...still has plenty of time left. Thought...oops...opened too soon. Very fine structured tannins...

Pretty much agree with the most recent reviews. Should have decanted.. which would likely raise the score.

Two thumbs up, this wine is very well extracted.
No detailed notes taken, had at Avanzare after the 417 cooking class/ wine tasting.
