blind 2017 is a killer vintage of Leflaive. Very elegant, powerful likewise. Makees fun from the first sip. The oak is not loud, lemon zest, chalky, saline an dperfect precision. 97-98

blind Lovely, I prefer in most cases the slightly oxidative style of Leflaive against the exaggerated reductive style of some other wineries. Pure elegance. Lemon zest and some lemon tarte. 97

Painfully young showing, closed down and too reductive at this stage for my taste. Sure there’s a grand wine here, but I’d hold for ten years. Wasted on me alas. Reserve judgement at this stage.

Big, deep and voluptuous, balanced with nice acidity. I didn’t find this to be a real step up from Pucelles at this stage, perhaps with more time the grand cru pedigree will come through. At the moment this is very good but not quite fireworks yet.

Domaine Leflaive Bienvenues Batard-Montrachet 2017. Fått for lite luft, og er litt sjenert. Parfymen siger igjennom etterhvert. Spice og stein leker med blomstene. Vakkert. Særs elegant munnfølelse. Lettere tekstur. Konsentrert av den lettbeinte typen. Nydelig friskhet. Meget lang. Er så elegant. Nydelig mineralitet. 95p

Domaine Leflaive Cellar Visit and Tasting (Puligny-Montrachet): Tasting at the Domaine. Lots of orchard and stone fruit aromas and flavors. Fleshy start, this continues to expand through middle, then wraps up in a brighter, energetic finish so much power. More enjoyable today vs Bâtard, but the latter is more tightly wound. 93-94+ point potential.

Five winos excellent adventure , mostly in Burgundy; 6/7/2019-6/15/2019 (Beaune, France): Expressive nose displaying concentrated yellow fruit, yellow peach, candied lemon peel, light honey, sap, spicy spices, vanilla and crushed rocks. Exceptional concentration, layers upon layers of deeply toned concentration yellow fruit, dense and oily, bright acidity, strong limestone mineral and a long ripe yellow pit fruit driven finish with sap and vanilla at the end. Excellent showing.

Love this vintage chez Leflaive, very high acidity, but a step behind Batard in terms of unfolding layers and complexity. 94+

I guessed BM from Leflaive. 2017 is just lovely from Leflaive. Not too reductive not too oaky. Everything in balance. 97

side by side with the BM 2017. For me no difference. both are superb, not too reductive with a lot of power. 96

Attractive, inviting nose. Lots going on. Of course early, but GC intensity and quite lush for BBM. Excellent.
