  • Popped and poured. Deep golden color. Aroma of hazelnuts and caramel. Hazelnut and honey with some oxidative notes. Burnt caramel finish.

    At first I thought this was completely shot. However, revived by air, it rose from its deathbed to deliver a very pleasurable experience. The current CT drinking window ends in 2020, but that's optimistic. If anyone other than me still has one of these buried somewhere, it's time to open it and hope for the best.

    No score, as that somehow seems irrelevant at this point, but it is still very good.

  • Varietally correct, but not offering much. Moderate golden hue. Reserved nose of lemon creme and mineral. Silky acidity and modest lemon creme flavors. My develope more complexity in time, but then again probably not.
