Drank alongside the 2016 at a bbq at my house. This wine has a palate of straw, river rocks, fresh cut grass and a tinge of pineapple. The 16 was my personal favorite.

As the weather cooperated we started our Fourth of July celebration on my patio with this wine. Light in color with a palate of grass, straw and river rocks. A moderate finish. Actually blind you could take this for an American version of a Sancerre. Enjoyable.

So here we are a week later since I first opened this wine. I had it left out open for 24 hours and then recorked and refrigerated. The wine has improved. The wine is a little unbalanced with acidity dominating, but it is fresh, more approachable. Crisp, tangy, unique and probably designed for 10 years out.

Not scored because this is way to young and green. It is underdeveloped in fruit, unbalanced in acidity and frankly raw in expression. I am going to leave this one out overnight opened and try in 24 hours.

First SB of the warm season and honestly a bit of a let down. To be fair I have high expectations for all wines Turley, and SB isn’t their wheelhouse. A warmer weather version. Subdued nose, restrained but nicely textured palette, and a surprisingly strong finish. SB is just a quaffer for me, and this fits that bill.

Light, refreshing Sauvignon Blanc. Tight aromatics and a bit of a clipped finish. I enjoy the lighter style but like a bit more bite.

Enjoyable but somewhat nondescript.

Nice SB. No grassiness. A little lacking in acidity.
