Ripe blackberry and black cherry, herbacious, vanilla, mineral; light toast. Nice complex package but will probably show better as it ages as it is still tight and grippy. At winery with JAnie Willheim and Toni.

Dark garnet in color and opaque; aromas of sweet cherry, raspberry, and violets on day 1 that changed to blackberry, plum, violets, and pepper on the second day; the palate consisted of tastes of blackberry and pepper with a smooth, lush mouthfeel w/slight grip on the tannins; medium(+) body, medium(+) alcohol at 15.6%, medium(+) tannins; long, floral and peppery finish. Initial red fruit changed to black fruit on day 2. Big nose, big palate, smooth finish.

A blend 75% Cabernet Sauvignon, 18% Petit Verdot, 10% Cabernet Franc, and the rest Malbec and Grenache. Peppery notes of cassis, tar, bay leaf, and earth on an open knit, sultry-textured bed of black fruit, and melted tannin. Tremendous balance masks the evident RS to and high (15.6%) ABV. Tasty stuff.

Drank over 2 days. Day 2 was as good as day 1. Nice aromas. Consistent lively tastes of red & darker fruits. Interesting blend.

Nice CA blend. Unremarkable, but for being well balanced and enjoyable.

Really solid red blend, mostly Cabernet Sauvignon. Nice, spicy aromatics. Silky texture, delicious savory fruit flavors, and a lively finish.

Major residual sugar, like a lesser bottle of Justin cab. Poor QPR. Have had better bottles of this.

A bit gamey, and a little too much heat.

cab, pv, cf, and a touch of malbec. Super ripe fruit, big bodied, good wine for Prisoner fans for sure.

Odd tomato leaf on the nose. Odd because my palate seems a bit off. Ok, on the second taste fresher than I first thought. With good fruit characte.r
