Relatively rich, probably would not have guessed as Chablis if drunk blind. But plenty of acidity for focus. Bright apple, key limes, very clean. Very attractive.

Considering the origin, this is surprisingly fruity, low-acidic and tropical in character, providing nice aromas and flavors of flowers, pear, peach, lemon and grass. However, the chalkiness and the minerality are also there. As a whole, this is a very pleasant and delicious Chablis that might be best to be enjoyed soon.

Nose of lemon and clean cotton, with a touch of honey. Zingy but not harsh acidity. Mid-weighted and lively, with citrus being the dominant fruit flavor. While this is mostly on the light/bright side, it does have a bit of an “oily” finish, with some beeswax/honey coming on late. Decent but not especially memorable.

The color is golden-yellow. Displaying pleasant aromas and flavors of apricot, peach and minerals, this Chablis is both lushly fruity and fresh at the same time. The wine is not very obviously acidic, but the acids are laying under the fruity surface.
This is probably not anything that you are used to expecting from a Chablis. However, it is very good, and it is in a very nice spot at the moment.

Emirates lounge in Dubai. Pale yellow. A solid and easily accessible Chablis featuring the roundness of the 2016 vintage. A touch of sulphur, and acidity providing freshness. Would love to see a bit more tension and minerality but then this is a more general shortcoming of 2016 in Chablis.

I was told that these wines are grown high up on a steep hillside which is why it is a premiere cru. It is a sharp and focused white with a bit of malolactic fermentation style wine but without ever seeing oak.
In mouth there is limestone, some orange (maybe tangerine) grapefruit and yet a creaminess to the mouthfeel. Still quite mineral driven for mid body wine with a finish of brine and then the mild citrus fruit and then earl grey tea.

Strikes a nice balance between round and bright. In a good spot, bright and fresh with flavors of orchard and melon.
