Wasn't expecting too much, but this held up nicely. Well-aged priorat, with plum and blackberry, some chocolate and earth on the back end. 14,5% ABV. The structure is beginning to sag a little, with a little bit of a granular mouthfeel, but nothing terribly off putting.

I like this black, inky wine, although it has a distinctive flavor I've never experienced before, and find hard to describe. Something like earth, anise, dirt, grit... how I'd expect India ink to taste. Dark, concentrated, rugged, it should go with game or paella.

Very deep brownish ruby colour. Very fruity and intense cherry and prune aroma and taste. It had light earthy and leathery element. Not so mineral as expected from a Priorat wine. Tannin was solid and muscular. Quite straight forward style. Very nice to drink now.

Beautiful rich aroma, leather and spice and dark fruit. Pencil lead and minerals. Ripe but not overripe, seems to be peaking, but this is only my first of 3 bottles.

Similar to the bottle drank in 2009, this seems awkward and pruney with overt green notes. Doesn't have the fleshy richness of other vintages. Mineral notes are there but are washed out. Perhaps my bottles are heat damaged?

Deep inky purple color. Black cherry, black currant and exotic spices on the nose. Black berry flavors and great chewy texture in the mouth with excellent structure and firm but mellow tannins that will make this age nicely for many years to come.

Seems to be in an awkward place. Nose has loads of fruit, chocolate and minerals - but shows a bit pruney and hot. Palate is generous up front but compressed by bitter tannins. Leftovers on night two are better but still not as fleshy, expressive and enjoyable as a prior bottle and other vintages. Plan to hold my remaining bottles for at least a few years.

Deep dark ruby to purple. Shy nose only hints at dark fruits, coffee, floral notes and minerals. Palate is large scaled with big fruits and gripping tannins. With time in the decanter, layers begin to unfold with mineral and tar notes adding complexity. Persistent and long but needs time to delineate and show its stuff.

This wine never fails to please, even though it is still quite young. On the nose, the main aromas were roasted coffee, gravel, tobacco, and dark fruits. There was also a creamy, dairy element.
On the palate, blueberry and other dark fruits, black cherries, lavender, violets, with pretty firm tannins and overtly woody, grippy notes that are covered up by fruit until the close. Long.

On the nose: Mocha, minerals, dark fruits, vanilla, and wood that is not yet integrated. On the palate there is an array of sweet fruits and vanilla: blackberry, blueberry, and top notes of framboise. Also notes of licorice.
On the finish the fruit turns a bit 'porty' or liqueur-like fruit with warm, substantial but submerged tannins. The mocha flavors return at the end. Sneaky length; IMO a bit too woody on the close today for immediate drinking.
Give this a few years.

This wine has held its ground. Rich, complex, ripe but not overripe, deep nose of blackberry with rustic components, but exotic as well.

I found it somewhat rustic. However, several people, including my wife, liked it.

Deep purple. Intense, jammy, chewy teeth-coating with mineral overtones.
