Frt from their Medway, Willowflat, & Brackenfield Vyds (all Awatere Valley); 12.5% ABV, 3.9 g/l R.S., 7.20 g/l T.A., & 3.26 pH; 127,000 cs made
N: UNattractive, tough to parse: a melding of barnyard & grass? As the barnyd blows off, notes of grn olives?
P: Med, poss LM, body; Rndish entry with NICE, grn olive/bell pepper frt with notes of grn apples counterbalanced by a tart acidity which defines the wie into & through the LONG, tangy/swt (80:20) finish with GLIMPSES of a very, VERY slight bitterness. For now & through '20, + could improve a BIT. My VG/VG+, though one must be patient with the N *&* a LOVER of the GRASSY style. 89 pts WS, 86 WE @ $15, & a Bronze @ '18 Int'l Wine Challenge. [This vendor's $7.99 is at LEAST $1.40 < anyone else currently listed on wine-searcher!]

Nose: gooseberry, elderflower, passion fruit, chives. Nice mix of the tropical and vegetal. Palate: medium acidity, low-medium alcohol, lightweight, fresh, well put together, spritzy. Acidity not as quite high as some other SBs (though fairly normal for this price point), but that makes this particularly easy to drink. A crowd pleaser, great QPR. 12.5%, $10.

Clean and crisp but without the citrus common to NZ SBs. We got elderberry (only reason I can identify that is because we occasionally have St. Germaine liquer as an aperatif). A nice lunch wine and cheap at $12.

The 2017 Crossings is another in a long line of consistent and enjoyable Sauvignon Blanc. Very pale yellow, almost clear. Crisp, tart, green apples, enoyable. This is a summer staple for us, and this year’s offering did not disappoint.

Restaurant half bottle purchase. Clear pale lemon color. Youthful aromas with medium classic aromas of gooseberry, lemongrass, and stone fruit. aromatics are completely primariy. Wine is dry with medium flavors of lemon, nectarines, grassy notes, and gooseberry. Alcohol is medium, body is medium minus. Acidity is medium leading to a medium finish. A good wine but lacks the bracing acidity and intensity I would like to have seen. Drink now. Enjoyed with food.
