Deep bright ruby in the glass. Quite pronounced aromas, but not really cutting it for a Cab Sauv. Mostly aromas of black berry fruit, cranberry, raspberry with a lot of sweet oak tones. The palate is dense and really refreshing, but the flavors tend to go more on the oak, then on the raw fruit, making the wine taste overly sweet and quite boring after a few sips. Medium (+) length. More of a playful wine than serious stuff.

This has become a comic book version of its former self in just a couple vintages. Massively overblown oak and extracted fruit making overly sweet. Still it’s more than drinkable and actually up there with the best in the $20-30 range.
