Double blind. Light color. Notes of black cherry, rose, mineral and warm spices. Medium-bodied, featuring flavors of black cherry and mineral. Good supporting acidity. An elegant wine with an old world sensibility. Lovely. (G&R)

Another lovely bottle of this; I really enjoy the elegance of the sisters though the 15 definitely shows some warmth; it is delicious and easy to drink and pairs well with lighter meals

First sip...wow, so elegant! Cherry, sour cherry, cranberry, umami on the palate. Love this light, finessed style. After two hours in the decanter the nose was incredible - soy sauce, hay, farm, maybe a hint of anise - and the flavors on the palate softened and deepened. Great acid backbone. Many years left, but drinking nicely now with decant. One of the most satisfying pinots in recent memory.

These are disappearing quickly... another delicious bottle; paired nicely with pesto salmon; I find this to be the earliest drinking of the Eyrie cuvees, that said I've never let one stick around to get old!

Tasted at the winery. Fresh orange/cherry colour. Showing lovely fresh strawberry and red berry fruit, earthy, smooth, soft, long finish. This has the feel of a classy wine and was very enjoyable.

Opened and decanted 1.5 hours ahead of grilled halibut, roasted potatoes, and corn. Purple-ruby color. The nose brings spring violets, cherry compote, rose petals, lavender, and raspberries. The palate is medium-light, textured, tangy, and compact, bringing bright cherries, raspberries, blackberries, rhubarb, sour apples, bitters, and a lingering, bitter cherry pit taste into a long finish, which was the only distracting note in the wine. High-toned, racy, and still wound up, this needs time to settle down and integrate the slight heat I detected on the nose and finish. Drink 2022-2030. Technical score: 91. Enjoyment score: 89.

I'm growing to enjoy the Sister's vineyard a little more each year; certainly a riper example, but this is delicious; pure high toned red fruits with lovely violet and lilac, a hint of sweet baking spice, orange peel, and just a hint of fresh humus. The palate is beautiful with great balance, good depth, and a tasty finish of racy red fruit and spice. Should continue to improve for 10+ years.

This always seems to be the most feminine in style of the single vineyard wines from Eyrie, but that doesn't mean it isn't excellent; it has a lovely nose of bing cherry and cranberry, violet, hints of earth and spice. The palate is elegant and charming, but still has lovely balance and more concentration than you would guess; red fruit lingers on the delicious finish. Very tasty and as usual the bottle disappeared quickly.

Fine Vines Fall 2018 Portfolio Tasting (City Winery - Chicago IL): Tasting, brief note. Very light style, so nicely elegant. Red cherry everywhere with moderate weight and very good textures, ending with sneaky good+ length. A style of wine I am likely to enjoy more than most.
