Nose: cranberry, vanilla, light cola notes. Faint projection
Mouth: smooth, slightly sweet cranberry and red currant mingle with a zesty lemon peel note ahead of a spritzy finish of baking spice, crushed stone and light tannins.
Overall, this is fun, spicy, and still down to earth and lip smacking. Stays engaging throughout. Alcohol on the high end however..

A pretty big and boozy Pinot for Willamette. Lots of heat and sun in 2016, but 14.1% alcohol is on the high end for my tastes. Would like more subtlety and finesse.

Smells like Willamette. Grapes in '15 were trucked to Napa. So this was made at the Carlton wine studio in 2016. With some rich fruit. Soft and easy on the palate. And I guess they are going to take over the Saint Innocent Winery.

The bouquet showed dark red berry and woodsy tones with zesty, savory spice. It was soft and rich on the palate with ripe dark red fruits, sweet spices, and dark inner florals yet balanced out through brisk acidity. The finish was long as it’s cherry tones turned slightly tart yet still juicy. It’s ripeness and balance makes the Failla Pinot a real crowd pleaser.

Bigger than typical Failla wine at 14.1% on the label.
A bit oaky with heat poking through. Black cherry and Black berry and dark rose petal... Relatively full bodied, with some savoury notes.
30% whole cluster.

Yum. Dark cherry, smooth with a capital S. I’ll buy this again.

Concentrated red fruit, sweet spice, and a velvety mouthfeel. Very enjoyable.
